I mean how they cycle between products, domains, etc

hi
@ThomasWard that's just something i do

why do you say 'hi' every time you join
that's just... not necessary...

@ThomasWard don't know why i replied above just then

ah
well
@JakeSymons chat system is weird.

there's a keyboard shortcut for editing your latest message, not sure what it is but I have pressed it by accident a few times

8:03 PM
@quartata I think the reason that errorlogs is broken is because of ChatExchange's length_check -- the message is so long that CE thinks it'll be blocked.

@ThomasWard I'm really board so I clicked on one of those cookie policy links
I like that it say Generally our cookies don't store sensitive or personally identifiable information such as your name and address or credit card details. when that information is not even collected

The old chat system's !!/errorlogs gets around this by manually calling a post_message function with a length_check parameter set to false; I'm not sure how you want to fix it in the new system.

they can't just say * we don't do it*
!!/errorlogs :(

@NobodyNada we'd have to keep that check somehow if we want to avoid lengthcheck
because that's an issue I discovered in another bot using CE
if we don't check if we're doing fixedwidth formatting in the chat message or have a flag otherwise we blow up.
my two cents.
'course if I start seeing explosions I usually spin up a true debugger but eh

8:18 PM
afk. I've opened a PR on github.com/quartata/SmokeDetector to fix !!/test, but !!/errorlogs is still broken. (cc @quartata)

@JakeSymons I have no idea about other sites. Some (not all) of the SU mods are active in Ask a SU moderator

> [04:34:13] watched_keywords.txt:1572:need more than 1 value to unpack
I'm getting that on my Smokey. Any thoughts?

@JakeSymons Please stop trying to use privileged commands when you know you are not privileged. You have been given the link to the commands before. So please read it again. It tells you which commands require privileges.

8:33 PM
@Henders I'd have to look at what you're doing, but it sounds like you're trying to get more than one value out of a watched keywords item, or vice versa.
@Henders got code I can peek at?

O.O GitHub just announced Teletype for Atom, which is basically peer-to-peer Google Docs for code

To join you need a history of good flags and a reputation. I get the reputation point but how many flags are we taking. How many flags overall and what helpful - disputed level is needed to join?

@SmokeDetector And I was just about to add a comment along the lines of "lying spammer, paypal appears as a payment method on your site" - I just tested it :)

coffeescript pls

@JakeSymons You need to stop spamming this chat room as well ...

9:14 PM
doing for x in arr and then calling something async breaks because x is defined outside of the loop and set each iteration
so you get the next iteration's value

@DavidPostill how many flags would you say?

@JakeSymons I don't know. I don't make the decision.

@DavidPostill who does?

@JakeSymons One of the Administrators

@quartata Solution: arr.forEach (x) -> # ...

eh
I used a do instead

@JakeSymons Please read [Getting reviewer privileges with SmokeDetector](https://charcoal-se.org/smokey/Privileges#getting-reviewer-privileges-with-smokedetector).

Notes:

1/ It wouldn't surprise me if you have already been told to read that before.

2/ You seem to be reluctant to follow advice. That is not helping your credibility when an admin decides whether you are worthy.

@DavidPostill okay
I get that I'm the outsider, I'll just leave I don't want to tread on anyone's toes more then I have to or get in the way. I've enjoyed my time here but I guess not is not the right time. Maybe I'll come back with a much higher reputation in the 1000s but that's a long way off. Thanks for answering by questions and being patient(at first) and once again I would like to apologize for "hopping on" to this chat.

no, sorry

ah oh well
I'll try googling a bit harder then
@DavidPostill your TP on that post conflicts with previous feedback, maybe should review

@quartata Oh. Which post?
Never mind. Looking at it.

@quartata What's bizarre is that smokey thinks there has been 3 revisions, but it was last edited on sep 8.

Revisions is misleading. It's actually MS records
sorry

Hmmph

like when you click on the MS link and it says "multiple records for this post exist" and there's one for every time it's been reported
