Web gurus who built charcoal-se, I have a couple questions (because I want to shamelessly steal use the layout of the project): 1.) In the .md files (example) they start with two leading lines of --- what's this for? 2.) Are the sections automatically linked with the ## Administrators {#admins} lines or is that something we did in a template?
@Andy the former is some sort of Jekyll metadata; ignore it if you won't be using Jekyll. I believe the {#admins} applies an ID to the heading element, which provides a target for fragment links; we use FontAwesome to get permalink icons.
Does GH build the jekyll stuff automatically? I use GH pages for a personal site, but use Pelican so I have a repository with my .md files and one for the actual HTML that is served. I don't see the HTML in the charcoal-se.github.io repo
Depending on how many ages it'll take, I'll probably take MS offline and run it locally against a dump. Then re-import said dump, and we're off to the races.

Other thing probably doesn't matter, it'd just be an exercise in threading. Depends on where the bottleneck is - if it's the database, there's not much I know to do. And I doubt it's the URI parser thing
