@Mithrandir That pattern looks like it's already caught by Pattern-matching website in answer and Pattern-matching website in body; use !!/blacklist-website-force if you really want to do that.
@Bugs I'd say poor answer. I'll leave a comment something along the lines of 'include implementation details in answer, make sure that you make your affiliation clearer, <how not to be a spammer>'
@thesecretmaster partly because it was made before the domain and hence cookies etc for everyone won't carry over, and also because something to do with different SSL certs was making things hard

@Undo I'm attempting to use the FDSC userscript and I think I need to have my MS account approved. Is this something you can do for me? I'm a regular in SOBotics and just recently been given permissions to report in there (think you approved that)
In the FAQ, it says
Each flag carries an implicit downvote for calculating the post’s score; it does not affect the caster’s reputation, however.
I'm not sure what an "implicit" down vote is. Is it cast by the Comunity user? Can I cast an extra down-vote after that?
Rolling back a post ...
@Mokubai yeah, but we were pretty late (I discovered one of the posts while reviewing First Posts). Don't hesitate to come here again if another kind of spam wave comes in. Or discuss it with your local Charcoal representative (DavidPostill).
@Mokubai both no and yes. As a moderator, you'll be able to use the commands, but it will create a pull request on GitHub which needs to approved by a Smokey code administrator. (This is true for both watching and blacklisting.)
@Glorfindel I am aware of 16 code_admin. Currently in this room: Glorfindel, NobodyNada, Jan Dvorak, Ashish Ahuja, Kyll. Not currently in this room: Ferrybig, doppelgreener, Thomas Ward, angussidney, tripleee, Mithrandir, ProgramFOX, Magisch, ArtOfCode, Andy, Undo.
Here's an idea for Smokey. Can we have a filter that catches when an answer consists primarily of content copied from another post in the same thread?
Quite often, spambots do this to evade detection and inject an off-topic spam link at the end of the answer; however, close examination makes it clear that the answer content is mostly copied.
On the last one, two segments of content was copied from the top answer (which makes it harder to detect).
@bwDraco That may give a lot of FPs. For example, luser has a problem with his batch file (which requires a small fix). My answer has a short explanation and then a copy of the fixed batch file for the OP to run.
The filter should only be active for users with less than 11 reputation and perhaps only apply if a link is present at the end of the answer (it's a common spam pattern)
I suppose it'll be computationally expensive, though, as it requires matching strings for a significant number of posts.

We've had WD (hard drive manufacturer) support reps on Super User and I've posted similar comments. These can look a bit like spam, but they're not. Be sure to read the post before you flag.
