@JanDvorak you mean proactively pull out the URLs from messages which are confirmed spam? I've been thinking we should -- the watch functionality is actually a step towards that in my secret plan
but there are some domains like Google and Wordpress which end up in spam but are by themselves innocent

They also released out of support patches for XP, although that was more recent.
I feel so sorry for all of the very-non-techie people who don't run an antivirus, will blindly open any email attachment and press yes to any dialog, and don't know what the word 'update' means

Security is hard when you use a pre existing OS that hasn't been written in the security level you require for your business, but writing your own OS is out of the question when you aren't at the level of NASA
@Ferrybig often you don't have a choice, the system was implemented by a contractor who thought putting a particular version of a closed-source OS in the requirements was a good idea
of course whoever approved that contractor's requirements is a dummy but again, they probably don't have any way to properly assess the technical consequences
@JanDvorak more constructively public spending legislation should be improved but I don't think you can fix it in the current state of Western market economy
BSD and Windows probably somewhat less straightforwardly, but having the date in human-readable form is often a hassle because then you have to parse it separately
I suppose if this lives on, we could put a human-readable view in Metasmoke
