Or maybe lawful neutral

@JanDvorak By reasonable definitions, yes. I fit into Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil, but I do a good job at squishing the evil. >:D

The CV community, on the other hand, is firmly hedged in the chaotic good corner

6:22 PM
Truth.
Some of us pass as 'chaotic good' or 'lawful neutral', but the 'chaotic neutral' or 'chaotic evil' helps if they align themselves with the site's betterness :P
sometimes the most evil of hands can still be gentle.

Have you ever tried text-align: chaotic-evil?

except those lawful neutral closers, who cost us the minimal understanding close reason

@Glorfindel Works fine in 'evil.py' evil->HTML parser :P

The problem is, once you go chaotic evil, once you're discovered, you get suspended.

:P
people keep in mind though when mods start squishing en mass though :p
it brings a lot of "Oh crap i better not break the rules"
and when you end up squishing tons of socks in one go, well...
it LOOKS like you're evil :p

Mods aren't evil. They're just misunderstood.

Interesting

This particular user has another seemingly legitimate post: ru.stackoverflow.com/a/649410/223536

Seems like FIRE isn't working in on Stack Overflow in Russian; we have to flag manually

@NobodyNada Thats because the userscript doesn't specify its as a place where it should run: github.com/Charcoal-SE/userscripts/blob/master/fire/…

no...FIRE runs in Charcoal; it's unable to flag posts on Stack Overflow in Russian. Since it uses the Metasmoke API, that probably means Metasmoke can't flag posts in Russian

.... except that it's plagiarized from here: programmersforum.ru/showthread.php?t=84247

Why is it that math bugs are always the hardest to track down?
I wanted a Unix time for "the current 30-second interval", with 30-second intervals starting from 0, which is easy enough, just divide by 30.
time.to_i / 30
except that's a bug

@ArtOfCode probably the integers vs double/floats story

ok I give up and I don't want to fire up a Ruby console; how so?

@Ferrybig nope, time.to_i / 30.0 is the same bug

it's not in milliseconds, is it?

9:39 PM
@NobodyNada because that's not "current 30-second interval" - it's just 30x less than the current Unix time
I actually wanted to floor the current Unix time to the nearest multiple of 30

@ArtOfCode ...which only increases every 30 seconds, right?
@ArtOfCode oh, so 35 would return 30?

Yeah. 1 => 0, 29 => 0, 31 => 30, 59 => 30, etc

so MAth.floor(time.to_i / 30) * 30 ?

Effectively, yeah. I generalised it out, but that's the idea.
def floor_x(i, x)
  (i * (1.0 / x)).floor / (1.0 / x)
end
