@Cerbrus @JF metapi is sort of vaguely beta-ready, if you want to modify (or fork) your scripts to test it
there'll be an @require header you can add once I've fixed the CI errors

Good work Angus. I've managed to overwrite the bootloader on my PC so that I can't boot into GRUB (and hence Ubuntu) anymore
@JF that works. I don't suppose you know of a way (outside of just disabling the rule) to let me use window sub-objects without it telling me they're undefined?

Anyways I didn't think that made a difference. I thought all feedback made from the API was posted in chat
@quartata Only the first feedback. And not all first feedbacks are posted in this room.
I doubt the first feedback here came from MS review
I don't see any feedback posts for the past 12 hours
@Magisch nah, same thing
@quartata yours wasn't the first feedback, anyway

@SmokeDetector f
@ArtOfCode Did you ever figure out why the websocket works for you if you're not whitelisted?
@quartata I suspect it's not that it works for me, but that it doesn't work for you - i.e. working is the norm
The API socket is, as far as I'm aware, configured to accept connections from anywhere.
Is the config on GH the same on production?
18:15
yep
Then something is really off because the config on GH does not accept connections from anywhere
Now granted that may be disabled somewhere else
I haven't looked yet, one second
Maybe we need someone else to try
It's disabled for the API channel only, AFAIK
Where is the code for that?
good question
+1 shows research effort
so... why is it working for me, I wonder
Wait, how did you test it?
If you tested it from the browser...
that is probably from an se domain
nope, Python
Oh. No idea then.
Yeah, still working

@quartata Of course
@Undo cool
@ArtOfCode Why have both ready and turbolinks:load? The latter should be enough, if I'm reading github.com/turbolinks/… right
deploying because I don't think it'll hurt anything, but worth looking into
gets ready for Undo to break everything
SOers don't really like edits that just remove a thanks, do they?
20:53
@Mithrandir I'd approve that if you submitted it again
People kinda refuse to believe that "too minor" was removed for a reason
And while you're doing that, please capitalize Java, replace "its" by "it's", etc...
@Glorfindel This'd be a bonus, but it's not sustainable to try to require folks to edit everything. If you're abusing it for rep I'll probably yell at you, but otherwise it doesn't make sense.
@Undo in theory, aye, but JS hasn't been loading on initial visits to the site for me, and I wonder if it's down to ready
@ArtOfCode If it is, probably worth throwing an issue on Turbolinks
@Glorfindel hmm, didn't notice that. Done.
20:56
/approved
Sweet, the websocket works now.
Do I need to reply to the pings?
I implemented @JF's suggestion there of 'just allow everything'
@Undo this post has only minor grammar/capitalization issues, so I'd probably choose "Improve". I've seen enough edits like these on posts where that isn't the case. I feel the rejection reason "completely superfluous" is appropriate, then.
@quartata what code are you using? Ironically enough, it now doesn't work for me
oh dear
