Hello. Please make sure that you don't advertise your own blog so much - it'll get flagged as spam. It's okay in moderation, but please make sure to mention that it's yours and that it's not the only thing you're posting. Also, please make sure that it's actually relevant to what you're answering :). Thanks. — Mithrandir 1 min ago
I'm less nicely inclined towards people who spam
But that could do the trick

"It's okay in moderation" Provided you state it's your blog, and it's relevant to the question / answer.

@Undo well I didn't break the standard startup process xD
and wtf is that apiCalls.pickle, WHERE is that coming from
alrighty
@Undo up to you whether we take the massive overhaul attempt into the codebase, but at least it doesn't explode normal logons. And this way we won't hit infinite loops - it'll just "die" if it fails 10 times in a row.
bad news is startup can take up to 30 seconds total before failing hard.
No cost to us if it breaks, why not just try it?
it needs your review on the issue :)

Honestly, you know more about login code at this point than I do. If you think it's a good idea, just do it and we can revert later if we need to
@Undo wait, really? xD
@Undo CE is evil black magic but this SHOULD permit us to avoid those literal errors
we shall soon know if it blows up in our face :p
but i'm pretty sure this'll be a workaround for the errors
after reanalyzing those tracebacks and determining where we get values from :P

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Pattern-matching website in answer: Should it be "has" or "have"? by Artemisia on english.SE
@ThomasWard We can't kick a mod. We would've happily done that if we could.
@SmokeDetector F
@Undo last time, we were trying to reuse values from an already failed logon return to the wrapper. This time, if we fail we redo the logon process heh
that should work because then we get valid data
the only issue is that assertion error that i hit if it actually failed logon
in which case we handle it the same way
yay
Should work, yeah
@Undo and no infinite loops this time! if it fails 10 times it just dies and restarts the process as we would expect it to xD
but with a nicer error message
i'd be totally interested to run a code coverage suite over this, see how horrible the coverage percentage is xD
