I don't consider myself part of the Charcoal crew. I only come in here occasionally.
You could do it like us and just make accounts everywhere
and then hide all the 101-rep-just-for-flag ones
Nah, I like to keep my accounts list tidy.

tpu- by DavidPostill
@SmokeDetector hmm, I gave them the benefit of the doubt
he was disclosing his affiliation and didn't seem to be particularly promoting his workplace, just including it, presumably out of lack of familiarity with SO
@tripleee Look at his profile " Alex Pristovnik Core developer at www.flybilling.com "
@DavidPostill which means it's likely a innocent signature
@DavidPostill yeah, he is saying "we at flybilling use so and so" but the so and so is an unrelated product
from someone who doesn't know we dont do those
we can't require arcane meta knowledge from new users
13:28
@tripleee yeah, not everybody is familiar with SO's rules. I agree with the edit.

@DavidPostill thanks, then we are in agreement
@Glorfindel your feedback is still tp?
@tripleee well, the problem is that in the form it is in MS, it is a TP.
13:31
@Glorfindel hmm, shouldn't tp be reserved for unsalvageable spam/abusive and exclude honest mistakes?
@tripleee why is vandalism a TP then?
because wrecking things on purpose isn't an honest mistake
> If this question gets voted down from members here then this website proves it is a Nazi website.
Self fulfilling prophecy much?
but I'm not entirely comfortable with how things are currently defined; for example, to be able to properly categorize, I think we'd need NAQ in parallel to NAA for questions which are just ... not
13:34
@Magisch Could still be edited out
@JanDvorak Yeah, we all edit all the spam out. There would be nothing left ...
@tripleee yeah, and I'd like a distinction between spam and rude/abusive as well.
@Magisch are you quoting the guy from this morning on Scifi or is he back again?
@tripleee That's what the non spam close reasons are for ...
@DavidPostill yeah but in order to improve classification it helps if the tags in metasmoke are correct
so there should be a way to distinguish between cases we care to distinguish between
i.e. false alarm vs spam vs other types of disturbing/off-topic behavior
where the third case is currently somewhat poorly defined and supported
even if we say we don't care about the third case, being able to move it to a separate pile helps us focus on the other two

@ArtOfCode @Undo I'd like to be able to put in a try/except catch on that section that used to have the infinite loop, at least as a temporary "debugging" commit, before I attach the debugger - that way I can set the breakpoint before the exception handler gets called, which will in turn give me a better snapshot than when it errors out. The fact we have the exception handler is why i need to put a temporary workaround to 'freeze' before that is called. If there's no objection.
[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Link at end of answer: How to enable Access-Control-Allow-Origin in Undertow? by ethan moore on stackoverflow.com (@dorukayhan)
tpu- by tripleee
@ThomasWard sure, why not
(would be as simple as something like except: and raise RuntimeError("This should not trigger, if it does the debugger is broken.") with a breakpoint on the raise)
then when I load Smokey in a debugger later this afternoon we can track the invalid literal error better
i'll add it later, thanks @ArtOfCode. The error will still get caught, of course, but with a slightly different error message.
so it'll still trigger a 'restart'
