So our lecturers today decided to teach us basic web scripting by making a game to show us what we can do. It includes server-side anti-cheat stuff, obviously, so that we can't cheat at it.
Then they went and published the code on GitHub. Including the anti-cheat.
The entire anti-cheat is just a check that the speed is within "reasonable limits" of what the client code sets it as. Where "reasonable limits" is 2.5x the client JS speed.
So: speed = 2.45 * speed;
and now I've just got that running in a background window, and fully intend to leave it there as long as possible to see how high the scores go
