I came here to check what the status with spam detection bots was after a year of not using chat.SE much, and I was reading the wiki about privileges and now I'm feeling very self-concious that my most upvoted answer is on "What to use as an initial version?" of all things, with 40 upvotes (what is it with people sometimes).
@RegisteredUser Privileges granted. I'm going to assume you've read the information page since you were linked to it. In particular:

The word 'actually' can be removed from any sentence that has it. And I use the presence of that word in a sentence to indicate that the person is not interested in seeking the highest precision or truth.

On graphic design alone, in the past 8 days, we had over 10 confirmed instances of spam posts (all very inappropiate images) abusing this ability to inline images that are immediately offensive to users that click them.
