@Bookend, with your regex changes to allow ? and a few other punctuation marks in the command, can we remove the why? alias?
or does that not work on the subcommand part?

Doesn't work on subcommands.

ok

2:25 PM
But we can make it work by truncating subcommands to keep only the beginning that consists of [\w-]
Not sure if laxer parsing is helpful, though.
E.g., someone may post spam? as a reply, asking others' opinions.

I'll trust you on the regex stuff. I know enough regex to completely break things, but not enough to make things more efficient.
Ah, yeah. We don't want smokey responding to that

I think the current parsing rules are fine.

That works for me. I have no problem with the aliases. I just noticed the commits when I updated today and was wondering if the changes affected the subcommands too

Thinks of creative ways to break something with the current parsing rules

Leave that for Shadow. :/

BTW @Boo the comment feature for "SD"-type feedback thing; is it live?

TIPS also broke smokey with some unicode character a few months ago

@TIPS No, I didn't really think about that. For one thing, sd is often used for multiple posts, when comments don't really make sense.
For another, I don't know who reads those. MS captures something, but...
@SmokeDetector f if it's spam, it's too good to be flagged

@Bookend Well, I wanted to establish this so we wouldn't accidentally give Smokey weird commands.

Q: The automated Stack Exchange / Feeds user is now participating in chat

Veronica DeaneWell, the robots are here. User -2 that goes by "Stack Exchange" or "Feeds" has been posting conversational chat messages. See recent Stack Overflow chat messages and recent Stack Exchange chat messages. Is this an easter egg, or has the bot truly become sentient?

@ByteCommander When I saw this, I clicked on it to see what would be related spam to "extreme political views". Was slightly disappointed.

Why?
You expected somebody hiring terrorists or something fancy like that?

No, but there are more interesting related adverts.

Would you mind giving an example?
On my home site askubuntu, we mainly get spam for beauty products, p3n1s enlargers and jute bags.

@ByteCommander Uh, not here, haha
Also they might be in a language you don't understand.

No SE gets as good and funny spam as AU. Not even SO.
