@metasmoke Sigh, yes, I didn't test with the prior fix in the master branch, which is what's required for that test to run. Admittedly, I should have changed it anyway when I did a search for monkeypatch. A fix should be done in CI shortly.

Always a fun game figuring out why people flagged stuff as spam.
That flag really needs a "why" field for explanations.

8:35 AM
That's a nice feature request actually, attach an optional 'why' field to red-flags.
The other day I had an RA flag. Post was fine, username wasn't.
Now, this was an easy one since 1 user flagged as RA and 1 user raised a mod-flag over it. But sometimes less so and I imagine an SO mod has a lot less time per flag than I do.

We don't get a lot of red flags, but we sure do get inexplicable ones.
On the other hand, we're drowning in flags more generally. Current count is 640.

Yea, I have hundreds of aged away flags on SO.

8:50 AM
@Mast ...hopefully just recommend-closure flags
Mods usually don't review those here at all :-p
Since those only show up in the CV queue, which is notoriously over capacity.

@RyanM Closure, duplicate, etc., the flags that the community should've picked up.

Ah yeah, that 640 doesn't include those. There must be thousands.

If community flags on CR stay on too long, I tend to step in. But since we're on 3 VTC instead of 5 that's less likely to happen.
There was a bit of a void when Sam and I got elected, since we used to clear the queues. Rest of the community had to adjust to us not doing that as often.

I step into queues every now and then, especially suggested edits.
But even if SO were paying me to handle flags full-time, I still couldn't empty them. Too many.
I've been mostly handling post flags. Including a number of plagiarism cases.
And someone's gotta decline all those invalid NAA/VLQ flags :-p
If there were fewer post flags, I'd also chase down the reviewers who voted to recommend deletion on them...
Not enough time, though :-p
Voting to close (as a non-mod) is more satisfying from the close queue, because those tend to actually get closed as a result of the fact that the queue prioritizes items with review votes on them.

Maybe I should get some SO rep to help with the CV queue. The 4 queues I got access to now are hardly interesting.
Might visit those more often anyway, see if anything has changed over the years.

9:07 AM
I find Triage extremely unpleasant. But some people seem to enjoy it ^^;
but yes, we always have stuff to review!
you're pretty close to suggested edits, a popular queue among Bad Stack Overflow Reviews denizens.

Triage is unpleasant.
@RyanM Yea, at this speed I should be able to hit 2k in 1,5 years or so.

We haven't outlawed company names as usernames AFAIK.

@Mast :61244352 Agreed. I won't say who, but over on AU, there is at least one fairly high-rep user (over 1k) that uses a company name for a username, and still has great contributions and no spam. AFAIK, it is a fine username and I agree that the SO contributions make me feel it is legit. Just wanted to report it to get more eyes on it, but the comments on their Meta Q should probobly be removed to avoid annoying the OP, and more discussion on that can happen here

@cocomac We already had all 3 in MS. Performing an allspam will re-report them regardless of if they're caught already or not.

Typically allspam is when you're for-sure reporting someone who's not yet had any of their currently-undeleted posts in MS yet. Otherwise, it's probably best to manually report each of their posts.
Mainly just to ensure you don't double-report them.
It's not the end of the world but it's not necessary is all

@cocomac I don't think it is spam, at least that MSE post isn't. Their 'answer' on SO might be spam but that is only mod-deleted, not red-flag deleted. I posted an answer for now and pinged Dharman to follow up if needed /cc @Mast
