@SmokeDetector This is the approval of my edit removing the spam portion of the answer. The edit was instead of spam flagging, because a moderator had reviewed the answer when it was initially reported 8 months ago and chose to leave the answer and just post a comment thanking the user for disclosing affiliation. While the post may now not be directly spam, the user's intent at the time was, IMO, to post spam that looked enough like an answer in order to stay.

tpu- feedback received on [MS] Is there a double helix RNA?

user435118
@Xnero So your sigh is completely unnecessary.

@Xnero Mast is just asking why a bot, or an actual user, would post something like that. He (and I) clearly don't know why someone would do that, so asking him "What do you think?" is kind of pointless and Mast is expressing that he's not interested in being asked further about it when he's the one asking for a reason for such behavior.

@Spevacus It's a bit of a silly question in the first place.

Well... Most abuse/spam does have a purpose. That is, to cause harm to the site or promote a service/product/etc. This type of post doesn't really do anything. It isn't necessarily abusive (no awful language or imagery), and it isn't spam, so... "What's the point?" seems to be a fair question. Why would anyone do that?

@Xnero hmm, it's actually much better now...because the version number hasn't been updated in quite some time, my copy was 10000 lines and contained quite a lot of boilerplate (see this revision, which still matches the current version number). The current version is just under 2k lines, which is long, but not unreasonably so.
However, no one is going to get that update without a version bump.
@double-beep - are you aware that your recent AdvancedFlagging updates (which look great! love the new UI!) aren't getting pushed to users due to a lack of version number increases?

Also +1 for the drastic reduction in size.

It's not twice. They're different watches. One for the domain, one for the keyword, and they're written that way to avoid double detecting.

Yes.
