Can someone confirm that the DNS still works for metasmoke and such?
i just moved around a lot of my authoritative DNS to a 'stealth master' which populates the zones on the DNS server that things're delegated to so i'm confirming things still work
@ThomasWard Yes, that's working fine. About 15 minutes ago, for a brief period, any page on SE that I opened said "Failed to fetch Metasmoke URL" (or something like that), but that's stopped now. I assume that's related to whatever you just did.
@Makyen That pattern looks like it's already caught by Potentially bad keyword in body and Potentially bad keyword in answer; append -force if you really want to do that.

@SmokeDetector This was reported a year ago. It was probably flagged at that time. The user has a total of 5 non-deleted answers on the site. All of them link to the site they are promoting. I've raised a custom mod-flag on one of them.
@rene I agree that they are not a standard spammer. However, their posts have undisclosed affiliation in three of their five answers (and their statements in their other two answers indicate that they are affiliated), definitely are over-promoting, and in some cases the content of their posts uses the links to the site they are promoting as spam (e.g. just to the site's homepage, not a specific page which might be relevant).
Overall, I felt it was something which should be brought to the attention of the site's moderators to allow them to make a choice how they wanted to handle it.
