@cigien Some people don't want to have the deleted post show anything, so vandalize prior to deleting, particularly questions, which the OP can't edit after deleting it, but other people can, so others can just revert the vandalism. Other OPs just can't figure out where the delete button is, often because it's not visible with some ways of accessing the site.
@ThomasWard Just as a heads-up my scheduled reminder went off saying that it's getting close to the time when MS' SSL certificate needs to be renewed. I know it's supposed to be automatic at this point, but it's probably good to double-check.

I am posting this because of a particular instance (an answer which was recently deleted, most likely because it was considered spam), but I am hoping that the discussion here will be useful for other cases in the future.

@Undo is in the process of transferring domain registrars for the base domain that Metasmoke and other Charcoal services are operating on. To that end, there may be weirdness while the transfers happen and DNS records go wonky.

@Undo can you get an export of the DNS records in Zone File format?
you can then add those to Cloudflare or such and then use that for the DNS regardless of registrar going forward (and retain the NS delegation for metasmoke. and m.)
the 5-7 days is how long it might take for the registrar data and NS entries at the domain registrant systems (.com, .net, .org, .etc.) for propagation of ownership/registrar changes

@Yatin Messages/reports from SmokeDetector in Charcoal HQ are generally kept as records. If you really need to delete a message, please use sd delete-force. See this note on message deletion for more details.
I should have taken the time to check to see if it had already been resolved. It looks like SD had just rebooted with the duplicate removed when I sent my unwatch.
@tripleee That pattern looks like it's already caught by Potentially bad keyword in answer and Potentially bad keyword in body; append -force if you really want to do that.
Ask Ubuntu (but no other site in the network) displays an "accept all cookies" banner every time I visit, even though I have repeatedly clicked the "accept" button
@cigien In general, the construct at the end can be used to have multiple words which the spammer might use. The important thing is to make sure enough text is required to be there for a match in order to not have FP. Usually, that means the portions prior to the construct containing the optional numbers has everything which must match. That may include things that are optional, but most of the time that's not necessary. Obviously, it can get more complex, but it's relatively rare to need to.
@Makyen Ok, that makes sense, I'll keep that in mind. I realize the optional keanu we added to one of the CBD oil spam watches would be an example of one of the less common cases. I'm sure I'll come across the more complex ones as well eventually.
