As I prepare to post a list of unanswered questions on a mailing list, does anyone know if there's a way to copy-and-paste the question titles while keeping the hyperlinks to them? (the hyperlinks automatically become question titles when written in a Stack Exchange post):

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in answer (1): Is it possible to pipe only on error? by Lincom Anto on unix.SE (@Pandya)

@NikeDattani On macOS I can just copy/paste formatted text directly from an SE post into my mail client, not sure if that works on Windows.

@NikeDattani However, for future reference, this room isn't really the right place for asking general technical questions -- "This room is for Charcoal, which focuses on detecting and eliminating spam and rude/abusive posts on all SE sites."
You'll probably have better luck asking on a Super User chat room, or something like that

@NobodyNada I'm using Ubuntu

@NobodyNada While my OS is Ubuntu, I'm copying and pasting from StackExchange to Gmail in Google Chrome, so I don't know if it matters whether it's Ubuntu or not. In MacOS the "Markdown" formatting gets converted automatically in Gmail when using Google Chrome?

Looks like personal attacks with hardware fasteners are bad but impersonal rants are OK?

@DanielWiddis I think SCREW ALL OF YOU is not marked because it's seperated by all and you?

@10Rep Adding a reason to !!/report requires quotes, which I'll admit is a tad bit unintuitive at first glance. Example: !!/report (link) "So spammy it makes my eyes hurt"

11:25 PM
@Spevacus Oh... I'll keep that in mind
Thanks.

@10Rep yes, that regexp only allows non-word characters between screw and you. I'm going to search metasmoke and see if this is a common missed phrase

@DanielWiddis It is missing, after doing a search on the page.

@10Rep 59 tp, 47 fp, 2 naa searching for screw and you with anything in between...

@DanielWiddis Can you limit the number of characters between Screw and You to something like 10?

11:33 PM
@DanielWiddis I reported the last one btw... have you tried limiting the characters?

only 2 TP for the "all of" variant.

17 tp/10fp with up to 20 chars. shrug

Hah!

!!/approve 5023

@10Rep "screw all the fasteners in" or something would be perfectly legitimate

11:41 PM
@NobodyNada So add characters after SCREW ALL?

I think the main idea of a change, if any were to be made, would be to factor in a few characters between screw and you, though I'm not sure it's really that big of a deal in the end. It's probably not going to score us many more TP than "screw you" does.
Screw all doesn't seem likely, even though the case that sparked the discussion featured it.

@Spevacus People typically have good grammar when insulting people :D

!!/unwatch good article

@10Rep Ask a blacklist manager to run that for you. Use !!/whois blacklister to find out who's here.

Let's see how effective it is. I imagine it catches a fair few TP that would otherwise be missed, I'm just curious how many.

@10Rep I don't think we really can watch "screw" without "you" somewhere afterwards

@NobodyNada Yeah, I know. It makes no sense for someone asking about machine screws on tools.stackexchange

11:51 PM
(?:nice|useful|good)\W?(?:article|blog) - 420 TP, 944 FP. Dug through the TP's for the last 2 months, and ~4 would not have been caught otherwise. Fair few FP's over that time, too, but I suppose they're worthwhile for those 4 spam posts.

oh yeah, good article catches spam... and there's me thinking only RA is tp

@Spevacus You may find the bookmarklet here, which creates a watchlist/blacklisted keyword equivalent MS search from the currently selected text, to be of use.

@Makyen Ooh, shiny. I'll save that, thank you!

@Spevacus 'amazing blog' is not caught by a blacklist or watchlist item.

!!/bisect my blog

@10Rep 'my blog' is not caught by a blacklist or watchlist item.

How do we feel about modifying the "good article" regex to also check for "amazing"? An MS search of ONLY "amazing (article/blog)" reveals 49 TP, 0 FP, 2 NAA.

@10Rep That implies disclosure, which would make it not spam in many situations.
