Well that's a pretty darn good idea, then. It would also move us away from the really-unlikely-to-be-done idea of keeping the queue at or close to 0 at all times.

Say we have 500 items in the queue at the end of each month, that need to be targeted by 2 users each. How much userhours are we talking about each month to kill that?
@Mast if people take 1 minute per review that means we'd need at most 1000 minutes of review time so about 17 hours? That seems like a decent top end figure for that # of reviews.
Flags on chat.SE are handled insanely quickly, especially non-mod flags. The number of >10k network rep users in chat at any given moment is really high - and that's if and only if a mod doesn't sweep stuff up before the >10kers get a chance to.

@SmokeDetector Not gonna watch that domain due to all of the potential FP, but others in SOCVR appeared to agree it was spam. The upvotes will hopefully also be looked into.
I'm a bit SoL on that front: My main site's MSE, which has three appointed mods. Chances for that changing are probably pretty slim, and even if it did, there are so many more qualified folks.
