I have seen that using wp_count_terms I can know the TOTAL number of tickets that taxonomy has, but it does not get me the number that each one has."

@SmokeDetector I wonder if it would help if the regex could skip the "ns" check for text containing (word1).(word2) if word1 contains a forward-slash /? If the non-whitespace preceding .(word2) contains /? Although this would then falsely skip people listing spam domains with "spam.domain1/spam.domain2"

@JeffSchaller yeah, there are some provisions in the code already to skip things which are celarly not host names but it's pretty ad-hoc

@tripleee you (all) are more familiar with things that would be TP/FP in that regex, but I thought I'd mention it in case it was helpful

github.com/Charcoal-SE/SmokeDetector/blob/master/… has a rough heuristic to stop examining hosts which don't resolve but it only stops the DNS etc lookups
primarily as a speed optimization, because those are slow, especially when they time out

@tripleee one look at URL_REGEX and I'm out ;)

@JeffSchaller @Machavity The OP editing in disclosure to a good post is the resolution we like to see. The initial report, however, doesn't have that disclosure, so it would be TP. If SD reports the new version, which includes disclosure, then it would be FP. Leaving a comment on the MS report, as has already been done, is also a good idea and helpful.
Instead, on sites each individual isn't familiar with, raise a custom mod-flag and let the site moderators handle it as they see fit. The reason for this was a snafu about a year and a half ago of one user taking exception to the wording of the auto-comment used which was about needing to disclose affiliation. The post was on a small site. The user almost left the site, but was a user who the site mods there wanted to encourage.

fp- feedback received

The auto-comments have been reworded, but the policy remains. I routinely raise mod-flags (daily? a few per week?) on such posts on sites where I'm not otherwise active.
On sites where I'm familiar, I will usually leave a comment first and allow the user time (several hours to a couple/few days, depending on how recent the post/active the user) to edit in disclosure (assuming the post, usually an answer, actually tries to answer the question, rather than is just promotion). If the user continues to author additional posts after the comment(s) have been posted directing them to appropriate resources about self-promotion/disclosure, then I'll start flagging.
I also vary response based on the number of existing posts with lack of disclosure. Normally, I'll give <=2 posts more leeway to edit in disclosure, but be more aggressive (flag) at >=3 posts. My response also depends on the content: Does an answer actually address the question? Is it a decent answer? is it plagiarized? Does the user appear to be here to answer questions, or just here to promote their thing/site/product/etc.?
Overall the point is that we want good content. If the content is good, then it's beneficial to make sure the user knows the policies and allow them to correct the problem. Much of the time, people do respond positively to comments pointing them at the policies and asking for disclosure to be edited in.
As to what "familiar with a site" means, that's left unclear. Usually, a good indicator that someone is familiar with the site is that they have one or more answers/questions on the site. However, that's not actually required, as there are other ways to be "familiar with the site".

3:26 PM
@Makyen perfect; thank you! I didn't want to "TP" the initial report because I didn't "think that the post should have been removed if SE was using the software", since it did seem like an otherwise good answer. I'm also coming from the other end of the "attribution" argument, since the majority of the links I see are OK.
(which is why I commented on the post, and didn't flag it, since I thought it was worth saving)

@JeffSchaller Yeah, we want good content. If the user is producing good content, then we want to encourage them doing so, but just change their posts a bit to comply with the requirements. For good content, I generally use a softer comment, which indicates the disclosure can be something as simple as saying "my", as the disclosure doesn't need to be formal.
As to the TP: Yeah, I usually visualize the system level block for self-disclosure as a popup that says something like "Remember, if you're affiliated with something you mention/link to/recommend in your post, then you need to disclose that affiliation in your post."
There is a bit of a dichotomy in the feeling of what TP means, particularly in this regard. TP always means that we'd want to block it at the system level. TP doesn't always mean that we think the post should be red-flagged. But, the system, as it's currently implemented, takes TP as an indicator that red-flagging is appropriate.
The part that prevents such things from being autoflagged is that it requires more detections to be triggered and more weight on a post to get to the level where it should be autoflagged.

Of course; I mean, any post with a link is a candidate for disclosure; a site would almost need a white-list of acceptable domains that don't require disclosure. IMHO.

@Daniil When there are any spam/R/A flags, there will be a round badge on the left-top of your chat avatar that's to the left of the chat input box. It's similar in look to the indicator that you've got a reply (which is on the top-right of your avatar). IIRC, the flag one is blue.

kiamlalunoIs there a list of privileges that users have on any Stack Exchange chat rooms, and which lists the minimum reputation required for each privilege? If such list doesn't exist, what is the reputation required for the chat privileges?

Ahh, OK.

@Daniil Yes, there wouldn't be much point to showing them to you if you couldn't do anything. This post should give you an idea of what it looks like. The Q&A is for chat.stackoverflow.com, so it will look a bit different on this chat server.
