@heather: It seems this is your first time sending feedback to SmokeDetector. Make sure you've read the guidance on your privileges, the available commands, and what feedback to use in different situations.

11:37 PM
tfw feedbacks are invalidated because plagiarism is detected a while after you submit them and the grace period is over

Feedback grace period?

of course, what else triggers invalidation? ;-) (unless some admin got to my feedbacks really fast)
(I hope we haven't had yet another undocumented change)
I wonder if how we generally tend to feedback is bad practice, since we usually do it instantaneously, without researching that deep

Feedbacks are only invalidated manually by admins, or by yourself when you "clear" the feedback, but ones done by yourself don't count against you.

hm, I guess I won't !!/blame anybody (quartata-style), since the admins aren't really wrong in a sense

fp- by Erik the Outgolfer
fp- by Erik the Outgolfer

@EriktheOutgolfer You should provide feedback once you've researched it deep enough such that you feel confident in your feedback. Other people may choose to research it to a greater extent. If you find that you are often changing your feedback, then you should look into why that is. If it is that you are changing it based on other people researching something more than you are, then you should probably try to learn what indicated to them that additional research should be done.
While it's easy to feel that providing feedback is a race, it's definitely not. If it takes you a bit more time to provide feedback more accurately, that's a good thing.

@Makyen eh, it's not that I always shoot my feedbacks in, unless the case is really obvious...I just have a weird feeling about the general feedback culture (instant feedbacks), I feel like nobody can actually be 100% confident in the time the first feedback is usually given, especially if the post isn't extremely (keto plus diet-level) spammy...I remember how a spammy post over AU had the spam hidden in "installed" (probably saw the relevant meta post more than a year ago, way before I...
