@EriktheOutgolfer that’s the right word; it’s just that — like any good word — it has multiple meanings.

I'm just trying to assess the level of tastelessness of that joke...at least 5/10 of course :P

@EriktheOutgolfer I did say "fp feedback through chat". Yes, the removal of the user from the blacklist with fp feedback is only when that feedback is given through chat as a reply or sd fp command (or one of the fp aliases).
Removing the user from the blacklisk does not happen with feedback through the MS API (e.g. FIRE).
@EriktheOutgolfer So, you're trying to be explicit?

@Makyen hm, I'm not always positive on whether I should remove a user from the blacklist because of one valid contribution, if they have spammed recently...for example, 3 spam posts (when mods forget to remove the spammer) and 1 valid contribution, hm...
also, I tend to give feedback based on individual revisions, so, if I come across the second revision of a post with 2 revisions, and I find it spammy, I'll tpu-, and, if I then come across the first one, I will have to fp- through FIRE or fp directly from MS...and yes, I often scroll up here

@EriktheOutgolfer I can understand that, and I sometimes wonder the same. Because removal from the blacklist is not an automatic thing for feedback given through the MS API, I find that it then comes down to a judgement call as to what I believe might happen wrt. future posts from a random human, with the random human model adjusted based on the posts they've already made. If the contribution that they most recently made is a good one, then I'd remove from the user blacklist immediately.
The problem comes when the user is left on the blacklist and posts marginal content that is too quickly evaluated and flagged by users, just because they see the user is on the blacklist. It's probably more appropriate to error on the side of removing them from the blacklist, rather than leaving them on, unless, of course, their current contribution is still showing signs of heading in the direction of being spam/R/A.
I'd even welcome changing things so any FP feedback removed from the blacklist.

6:47 PM
@Makyen the "random human model" is pretty random, at least when you account for every random human, for which you will most probably need a model :P
on a serious note, well, it depends on the "random human model" a reviewer has, so, eh, maybe there should be some setting to disable it (just like the ping list)

It should be noted that having any FP feedback (feedback through the MS API) remove the user from the blacklist is both a feature request and a bug.

@Makyen issue 1072 has been referenced by issue 346 on the same day issue 346 was created

Digging a bit deeper, it looks like this may be fixed soon, or at least there's been activity in the last day.
