MS is basically just an optional database plug-in for Smokey
(although it handles things like CI and automatic failover that absolutely require a server)
Smokey's been around for longer than Metasmoke, and it's a central design philosophy that Smokey does not not depend on Metasmoke -- we don't want to be completely crippled every time the server runs out of disk space or AWS goes down
@angussidney yep, nobody uses Smokey without MS in practice. There was a time period where Smokey would crash every two minutes if it couldn't connect to MS
I'm not sure if they are spamming saying they know a good lawyer; saying they need a lawyer to collect some claim which needs to be filed prior to the statue of limitations expiring; or if they are wanting to hire a lawyer to collect from the lawyers they previously hired, who may, or may not, have filled claims within the statue of limitations.
