Just had a re-read of what he said, I have a feeling they might want to know how it works currently, so you might want to make sure you're familiar with that
i.e. spam comes in via the realtime websocket, it is queued up for processing, with thresholds set per-site (to conserve API calls), the API is used to fetch data about each post, every post is then chucked through a bunch of regexes that make decisions based on post body, title and username, then it gets recorded in MS, posted in chat, and we burn it with fire
@Magisch I've only been here for less than a year so I don't think I have a really good picture of who the original contributors were -- I get the picture Normal Human was the originator of this project and that e.g. Hichris was pretty active earlier but this is without checking back in the commit history
@Magisch You can always say something along the lines of 'our team is made up of a bunch of people from a variety of backrounds - some are moderators on the sites, some are developers, and some like to spend their time sitting back and nuking spam. While maintaining so many regexes sounds like a hard job, many hands make light work, especially since you don't really need to have much technical knowledge to help out'
@tripleee Charcoal was actually originally a bunch of random tools that did random stuff with SE - reminding you of posts to vote on, queueing up flags to make it easier on mods, something else which flagged spam, and of course Blaze, which is the only one that is still in use today

That said, I do think it'd be more than fair for you to know what you should expect. I know I'd like to be prepared for something like this. If you don't hear back with enough time to prepare, it might be more appropriate to do this at the next conference.
