you see escalations like that here every week, we start by posting "don't indulge in excessive self-promotion, disclose your affiliation etc etc" and once it's clear that they ignore this advice, we go all-in
@SmokeDetector that's a good example actually, if it weren't for the fact that the product is deservedly blacklisted and they still keep coming back, a post like that would get the benefit of the doubt
@Glorfindel That pattern looks like it's already caught by Pattern-matching website in body and Pattern-matching website in answer; use !!/watch-force if you really want to do that.

Some days ago I was getting started with writing T4 templates with Visual Studio, and as many I arrived to this question.
Then, I saw this answer:

christianity.stackexchange.com/a/18499/32087 is kind of representative as well ... I don't pretend to understand the Christianity site or its community but at least one user with a reputation seems to like it (and on that site, 600+ rep puts you in the top 500 it seems)
@Glorfindel It looked like borderline spam to me. It was definitely NAA material, because it didn't directly answer the question. I decided that between that and the clear attempt to promote a particular site that it was worth validating the spam flag.
@Sconibulus Yeah, I don't think it would be worth blacklisting the site... it's definitely on the fringe, but we get legitimate questions about fringe groups all the time
@Nathaniel I do wonder how you guys deal with the groups of christians that think they must convert everybody to their very specific sect of christianity lest they all go to hell
@Magisch It's not always easy – but the main way we do it is by strictly enforcing the rule that answers must come from the same perspective as the question, and if the question doesn't specify whose opinion is desired, then it gets closed.
So the Mormon view can't be provided when the question asks "What do Catholics think about X?" (it gets deleted as NAA) And if the question is instead "Is X true?" it gets closed quickly.
I skimmed a large part of the book of mormon but at this point I've read so many interpretations of the bible and the old testament that I have trouble telling apart what the quirks are
I just know that mormons usually get very cross on disagreement, even by other christians
@tripleee Could give it a try; I don't think I've ever seen it before, so I don't know how long it will take to get a sample size that would tell us if it's noisy or not :)
