@QPaysTaxes is there a reason you need negative numbers?
@QPaysTaxes then...just use an unsigned integer?
Google says an unsigned integer is the "normal" thing anyway
also, it gives you twice as many numbers without going into negative numbers
"signed primary key" has good results
@quartata Meta post or another flag are the best way to handle that.
I don't care about the flag itself
I just want to be sure that whichever mod did it knows in case a similar spam occurs again

@angussidney that magic is here: github.com/Charcoal-SE/SmokeDetector/pull/702/…
and is basically the same changes that we did to issue the "Git not available in Windows" warning that would prevent the sh.git stuff from loading, in terms of where the if statement is and the way it's all handled to detect Windows.
user165474
What would you say the last report is? I think it's fp.
@angussidney since it's only imported only if 'windows' is present in the platform line, and in all other cases it imports sh.git, all should be good there.

user165474
So you can effectively give it 2 downvotes if you have 125+ rep by redflagging and then downvoting
@QPaysTaxes MS does all the autoflagging, not Smokey
@SmokeDetector Why?
@tchrist Body - Position 97-104: Elysian
02:45
OFFS
@tchrist I've already unblacklisted the term
@angussidney Thanks.
Smokey is too insecure
Especially with remote-code-execution as a vulnerability feature
@angussidney What is Smokey to insecure?
His source code?
:)
Anyone with code access would be able to modify the code to e.g. autoflag every single post since anyone can !!/pull
But MS is much more secure since it can only be deployed by Undo, and only 2 people have push access to the repo
Because any old code can be run on the machine running Smokey if a code admin went rogue, including but not limited to viruses, keyloggers, anything that would permanently damage our repuation as an organisation, etc
Yeah, true
But the chance of something going wrong is much, much lower on MS than Smokey
That's my point
user165474
02:55
@QPaysTaxes Sorry, I meant FIRE not MS.
user165474

@HyperNeutrino Probably should look into FireAlarm

I think they're running an SE wide version of it and Natty here
It was made for SO but you could train it for PPCG I'm sure
03:02
!!/rev
user165474
@quartata My objective is mostly to try to catch posts that are meant for StackOverflow. I'll probably look for things like specific language tags, not having the word "challenge" anywhere, and (not or) having a really high code:text ratio.
user165474
And, because there are many on-topic challenges with one or even two of those traits.
Oh then FireAlarm will probably work fine as is. Just ask Nobody if it's scanning PPCG in SEBotics
Although actually
I have the creds for it so I could probably figure out how to start it myself on there
user165474
Alright. Does it scan for VLQ or off-topic?
03:10
Both, really.
It's trained to look for really bad SO questions which are basically the same thing as what we see on PPCG
user165474
Sometimes there are good SO questions that are posted to PPCG by new users, so looking for bad questions may not work. Not sure though.
What language are you writing it in?
user165474
Python.
user165474
I can make bots in Python and I know how to process incoming questions using JavaScript >_>
Use the realtime web socket
user165474
03:16
Hm?
user165474
I'm using the SE api and using StackExcnahge.subscribeToRealtimeQuestions or something along those lines from JS
user165474
Oh, okay thanks. I'll use that instead then. :)
@quartata FireAlarm doesn't watch on sites other than SO right now, but expansion to other sites is coming soon -- a mod from Graphic Design has asked if they can have FireAlarm, and PPCG people including you have suggested running it there to look for Stack Overflow questions.
The PPCG part is likely to be very accurate once FireAlarm's been trained for it, and GDSE just needs me to train it and modify the Filter to support multiple sites
user165474

user165474

03:46
@NobodyNada I can get you data if necessary
Since I have 7k rep there
@quartata I should be able to get what I need from the data dump; but I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
What about roomba'd posts?
Most closed posts that are in the data dump probably won't be off topic
at least not what we're looking for
might be off topic because of no objective winning criterion not because it's a general programming question
My plan right now is to train the filter to categorized posts into SO/PPCG instead of open/closed
So instead of giving it a bunch of open questions and closed questions, I'll give it a bunch of Stack Overflow questions and a bunch of code golf questions
@QPaysTaxes so is the assignment thing that dropbox stuffed up due tomorrow or?
