@ArtOfCode [tag:close-pls] github.com/SOBotics/Redunda/issues/40
thanks!

Um... so running rails c gets a Spring error now? That's certainly a novel one.

Just did HTTPS with letsencrypt. They've made it pretty easy :O
Even I could manage it

10:33 PM
@Riker I hope that's a joke :P
@ArtOfCode I've seen that one before. Forgot the resolution, though.

@Undo reinstalling the rails executable seems to have worked
now we have other errors because WSL :(

Hrmph

/me is currently 4 layers deep in old GitHub issues
They know what they're talking about, though, cuz it's working now

Bah, now I'm used to BigCo corporate Internet. Everything feels slow :(

How was the internship?

10:39 PM
@ArtOfCode In your inbox.
@NobodyNada Good :)

Oooh, changing compression formats are we

did we?

gzip -> bzip2

oh, Sequel remembered something else I did. Lemme know if you can't open it

shrug should be able to
got it, anyway

10:41 PM
oh, we'll probably want to redact those 2fa tokens in the future.
Updated the script, you can do it on yours if you want. Not high priority.

shrug I can't exactly get any 2FA codes out of 'em, so shrug
double-shrug
@Undo This may be cheating, but... $ dtrx dump_2017-04-12.bz2

@ArtOfCode hah, didn't know about that. Nice.

\o @QPays
cool!

@QPaysTaxes the wall just got ten feet pixels higher

...is that a reference to something?
both

10:47 PM
WSL is amusingly yet painfully terrible

@Undo don't suppose you have an example of a MySQL database.yml conveniently lying around?

[ 29%] Building C object CMakeFiles/tester_profile.dir/tests/runnable.c.o

10:51 PM
...you sure you want -Wall and -Werror?

@QPaysTaxes huh, runs fine for me

:p
@ArtOfCode what compiler? yours probably doesn't give a warning for "no newline at end of file"
I'm using Clang btw

@NobodyNada Same for me

However, @QPaysTaxes:

@Undo are you on Mac (or using Clang on Linux or something)?

10:52 PM
$ ./concaten test.ctn
No word '{' found.

@NobodyNada Mac

must be a clang thing

yeah, I had to brew install cmake

@QPaysTaxes (by default)
You can always install a "real" GCC
with Homebrew or something
Huh, apparently the C standard mandates a newline at the end of every file
> A source file that is not empty shall end in a new-line character, which shall not be immediately preceded by a backslash character before any such splicing takes place.
@QPaysTaxes nope

You on Windows?
Might be the automatic CLRF -> LF thing
details :P

10:57 PM
I'm going to guess it's something related to your IDE automatically appending a newline when you open it
...how on earth did I end up typing "newliner"
Oh, "r" is right next to the "e." I was wondering, since it's so far away from the return key...

Atom does things like that
Had me convinced it was converting my spaces to tabs for a good week before I realised it was just jumping the cursor over the spaces.
...so this is the error I currently have from the MySQL2 adapter: Mysql2::Error: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Wrong password, right?

why root?

@ArtOfCode Maybe, this in dev?

Wrong, because I forgot to install the MySQL server at all.

oh, that helps.

11:01 PM
It might be technically correct that I can't get access, but... you'd think it'd give me a better error than that
2

Same error
I'm still on 8a08ea8
Still didn't work. Clang reports the error on line 124, even though runnable.c only has 84 lines

Since when does sudo service restart mysql cause a core dump

Oh, the problem is in tester/runnable.c @QPays
me too :D
...what on earth?
$ cd /
$ pwd
/
$ cd //
$ pwd
//
$ cd ///
$ pwd
/
$ cd ////
$ pwd
/
$
What's special about //?
There's nothing named /, and an ls in // prints the same thing as an ls in /
@QPaysTaxes Huh, that's interesting

I'm going with tp because it's a frustrated person insulting math on a site full of mathematicians.

11:40 PM
Note to self: never do Rails development on WSL again
