@Undo pushed; that should make it so that ignored feedback is accepted but marked ignored, and so that a second feedback from an unignored user will validate and unignore the previously ignored feedback.
Not entirely sure if that sentence made sense, but... meh.

@ArtOfCode you borked the tests :P

When do I not?
Let's see...
So apparently Feedback.where("user_name IS NOT NULL").first is now returning nil
Ah, defaults? Perhaps?

prolly
yeah, @ArtOfCode it defaults to nil, not false.
So there's nothing that is actually false, because it's all nil

yeah, just pushed fix

5:09 PM
You have a tristate boolean :P
Now only one test is failing

eh? That one just doesn't make sense.

oh, @ArtOfCode you might need to commit db/schema

...or did I just call the column the wrong name

git add -p it to keep unwanted changes out, you just want the number at the top and the column
... or that
is_ignored, perhaps?

yes, yes I did
is_invalidated, actually.
Yep, passes

deploying

@Undo Good old "True/False/Maybe"

@Andy True/False/Neither might be more accurate

@SmokeDetector n

true/false/meh

@ArtOfCode "user_name IS NOT NULL"? One of the SFF mods might break your system there ;-)

5:16 PM
@Randal'Thor Rails is slightly more intelligent than that.
That would be user_name IS NOT 'Null'

Yeah, Rails is pretty good about injections and such

@ArtOfCode Yeah, just kidding.
Hey, at least we don't have a mod called Little Bobby Tables.

There were actually a couple HNQs about that not long ago.
@Randal'Thor Pretty sure there's a user around somewhere called that.
Or two, or ten.

@ArtOfCode I know; I pinged Null about them.

@ArtOfCode Is that a binary joke?

5:19 PM
@Ferrybig could be apart from the 2
10 or 1010

@Ferrybig There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand ternary, those who don't understand ternary, and those who think that joke's in binary.

There's a joke about AB, blood types, and base 64 to be made here. I can't think of it, though.

You programmers and your binary jokes -___-

Those chemists and their table flips

Note to self: Digging more into programming makes you lose more humor than digging into science stuff.

5:31 PM
@TIPS I'm just going back to basics.
:)

@nicael A physicist, a chemist, and a programmer were in a car that wouldn't start. The physicist examined the spark plugs and the engine; the chemist assessed the chemical makeup of the diesel and the oil; the programmer got out of the car and then went back in again. — rand al'thor 7 hours ago

It does answer the question. The question is absolutely terrible though.

@hichris123 Does fp- == f?

@Randal'Thor yes

^. I prefer the explicit forms though. :P

8:07 PM
@hichris123 If you really want explicit, how about notspam?

@Hichris do you also prefer pizza without ketchup?

@Randal'Thor Back in my day, we didn't have such fancy commands. :) (originally, it was true/false I think, then expanded to tp/fp)
Or not. true/tp and false/fp came in with the same commit.

Hmm. It'd be nice to have this page pinned to help newer Smokey users.

Do I count as a newer Smokey user?

I dunno, but I do :-)

8:13 PM
I haven't read one single FAQ-ish page.

8:28 PM
@Randal'Thor Remind me of that in 4 days' time when the projects message needs re-pinning.
