7:00 PM
Just think of it this way...it could get larger.

@Andy Quick, run the auto-flagger some more!

@Undo I know how large the stack overflow mod queue is, my custom mod flags take SOO long to be seen

@ArtOfCode I'm outta flags for the day
:(

@Andy Here, have some of mine. There's only 64 of them, but...

Here's a thought: how different do you think the results would be if I removed all feedback from my MS database, and let anyone loose on reviewing it?

It would be an interesting experiment if we compare the statistics with the existing feedback

20869 review items...
0.18 seconds to destroy a couple years' worth of carefully collated spam data.

The review page is a little slower now, for what I can tell

Well it's never going to be fast, because my VM is terrible.

7:14 PM
@ArtOfCode Very different. At least with the edge cases

7:25 PM
Aye. Well, I've done it, and reviews are here.

throws hands into the air Ugh. I have to sign up, again?
;)

'fraid so :)

Email validation is broken. It doesn't like emails with + signs

cc @Undo ;) - that's a metasmoke issue

As a relevant note: My coworkers dislike when I send them that video
But, it usually works

7:31 PM
Kinda looking forward to @Andy's next burst of flags.
Which is totally insane.

@Andy you can use a fake email, there's no email confirmation

Not any more, no
Now I think that's midnight UTC+10

So that's still before Undo is awake :)

Honestly, I don't remember why I changed it either.

Oh. Ping @ArtOfCode

@TheLostMind That's odd... metasmoke-artofcode.c9users.io/users/sign_in to sign back in

7:43 PM
@ArtOfCode - Ah. Now its fine.

Huh, odd.

@ArtOfCode - exactly

I've gotta run. Back in 2.5-3 hours or so.

@Undo Metasmoke (the real one) is down

I think I might be able to automatically restart it from the Smokey cronjob

It's up for me

[ SmokeDetector ] Manually reported answer: Chances of winning tournament vs Entries? by KilFredM on poker.stackexchange.com

@404 I actually wonder what triggered the check on that site actually, it seems to be a hidden space character or something like that, and not some part of his code?

404
@SmokeDetector why

@404 Post - Repeated character:

404
Yeah, a bunch of  ^

8:17 PM
Can we exclude any whitespace characters from the unique characters check unless they are more than 100? Seems to be a less permissive change, whitespace characters don't actually change the visual of the post so much, so why check them in small amounts

404
Makes sense, but I don't know which characters. \u8203 and what else?

I would convert the html entities to their unicode characters, then do .isspace() on every character

404
HTML entities don't trigger than anyway. If someone pads their short answer with         that's not considered a repeating character. Same with ‌. It's the Unicode characters copied/entered directly that trigger the filter.

we're not allowed to have new mod announcements until I'm looking
and especially not on Thursday
And especially when it takes hours for me to notice.

404
Yeah, this is outrageous.
I didn't even tweet the update until now, being busy with other things.

8:29 PM
protests are needed

404
@Ferrybig We kind of already ignore whitespace: see \s in this regex, github.com/Charcoal-SE/SmokeDetector/blob/master/…

Maybe someone lost their mind...

@hichris123 - erm..

404
So I gather that zwnj is not considered whitespace...

@TheLostMind Oh you're in here too. :P

8:31 PM
@hichris123 - wait. lemme check..
Oh looks like that :P
@hichris123 -> ^-^

@Ferrybig Indeed: both 8203 and 8204 are considered non-whitespace. Logic... fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/200b/index.htm

Bah, now I'm flag-banned on SO for spam flagging filerepairforum posts. :(
stackoverflow.com/questions/34190168/… is still around if anyone feels like getting declined flags...
No, office365.com is not spam. But when you link to excel.fixtoolbox.com in your office365 post...
These spammers are terrible. They don't even try to be on-topic, but they're just obscure enough to gather declined flags.
Oh, and btw @Undo: softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/users/16300/ethanshelton had a spam post that was closed on SR & I downvoted it so it was roomba deleted. But you can destroy the user.

8:50 PM
@hichris123 That's... bah. It really shouldn't flag-ban someone with 5500+ helpful flags.
@hichris123 wow, posted the exact. same. thing. to SO

Eh. I suppose it's kind of an edge case... probably few people even get flag banned, no matter the circumstances.
