@Doorknob Yes, it didn't even make it into SEDE, as I just found out...
@SmokeDetector k
Posted my 500th answer on meta.math... do I get a badge? Only three users on Meta.SO have more: Servy, Martijn, and Shog. Of course, Meta.SE has lots and lots more.
So... I just ran the numbers on that Raspberry Pi. Power usage on that thing will cost me $0.27... per year. And that's assuming I'm always on the highest tier, summer rates. And assuming that it's always maxed out.
Okay, here's a thought: If Smokey were to be made a Tavern owner, it could automatically migrate messages to the trashcan or something
That adds a level of overhead in determining when something has been baleeted, but maybe we could just add those IDs to the normal bodyfetcher requests when one gets sent off. Then remove the chat message if it's not returned
@LiveForever I suspect they would go with a system where a few moderators get manually 'trusted' or something with network powers, possibly with SO mods all automatically trusted.
Or, possibly, a system where a network user with only 1-rep accounts can be nuked by two moderators on two sites where they have an account
Probably with restrictions on how old that account can be
Yes, if an account is created today and did nothing but to post a bunch of posts with 0 upvotes (and a few spam flags), it's not like there is a risk of losing something valuable.
Less obvious than "smart formula for brain boosting"
A new-ish site that has really made it into a spam target is Engineering: metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/… (I already moved it to API queue = 1, replacing craftCMS which is no longer spammed)
When I saw this title on my list of auto-flagged posts from yesterday, I was really worried for a second: Packaging using PhoneGap Build? on AU.
@hichris123 I fail to see, why everybody gets so agitated about this question. Just remove the last paragraph and it is an elaborate question about how scientific theories work.
