A hybrid approach: write to team@ and ask whether Smokey using 20K requests via two API keys is okay with them.

I mean, often there is a "1 question with new activity" button. I click it immediately when it appears for me, and whoa, question is already deleted. It's pretty irritating - if post gets deleted before info is shown on my screen, server should stop that info, right? Posting here and not on meta...

I think we know why that happens. :)

Reading the spam tag I see they had this problem since 2011, when the site launched.

Actually, "unknown command" is enough because there are no arguments for shortcut-able commands.

Okay, better idea: instead of re-running all commands if one is unrecognized, Smokey will only listen to edits of that message if all shortcut commands are unrecognized.

A recent reference is the confused post history here.

I gather from it that lang-SO are an exception in a different sense: HNQ do not appear in the sidebar there.

Three sites are penalized: SO, TWP, Programmers; but they can still be in HNQ.

And apparently, there is no outright exclusion for any site.
