As a new blogger on DIY.StackExchange.COM, it has become apparent that the blog reader base isn't as prevalent as on maybe some of the other sites.
It would be very beneficial to some of the smaller sites (and maybe the bigger sites) to add a "This week in the blogosphere..." section to the week...

To promote the site and the blog, I'd like to solicit ideas for a blog article that would appeal to both our audience (DIY.stackexchange) and a site with an established base that is known for linking to other content (like lifehacker.com - here's their diy tag).

I could see sponsoring something, writing a guest article on how to use diy stackexchange, or maybe just pointing one of their editors to a few best-of questions. If we got the blog going we could send them how-to articles a bit more naturally - they seem to feature instructables pretty often.

@AarthiDevanathanΨ Ahh the dreaded third site :) What sort of questions are on writers? Do they do like reviews or is it more like "How do I get published?"
@SteveJackson it's more about becoming a professional published author, yeah. but it's also tips like managing multiple plot threads, writing from different POVs, etc.
NaNoWriMo is coming up; I'm helping out a site temporarily.
@SteveJackson it's pretty cool and an event I enjoy sitting on the sidelines playing cheerleader for. I got assigned this site temporarily so...yeah. We'll see what happens.
It's just for November, but it's almost mid-october. gotta get that pedal to the metal.
