Can anyone tell me what the most damaging weapon is in 5e that can be wielded in one hand? Or is that enough of a question to warrant posting it as one
> Lance. You have disadvantage when you use a lance to attack a target within 5 feet of you. Also, a lance requires two hands to wield when you aren't mounted.
@Himitsu_no_Yami Rapier has 1d8, which is the same as battleaxe, flail, longsword, morningstar, and warpick (some of which also carry the versatile trait)
There are no one-handed options besides the Lance that are 1d10 or higher
@Himitsu_no_Yami Then I'd go with long sword, battleax, or warhammer. Same damage die as the rapier, but since you aren't using Dex anyway you can benefit from versatile in a situation where you use your bonus action for something else (maybe someone casts dragon's breath on you)
> Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch one weapon that you are proficient with and that lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon’s type.
nevermind, you can use your long rest bonus to buff your non-pact weapon for Charisma use, and your pact weapon will get it automatically
@Himitsu_no_Yami Honestly I think the best weapon to Dual wield for that build would be the Yklwa (from Tomb of Annihilation). Same damage die as the longsword, battleaxe, and warhammer types but has a thrown option if you need it. You can always summon your Pact Weapon as like a greatsword if you have another use for your bonus action.
So you have an Yklwa for your one hand and then you can summon your pact weapon as a second Yklwa, or leave your Yklwa un-wielded and summon your pact weapon as a two-handed thing if you don't plan to use two-weapon fighting.
@AustinCruce if you do drop by, you question as written translates into "is there a feat that allows a PC to cast a ninth level spell at will" to which the answer is no. But I don't think that's the question you intended to ask.
@Himitsu_no_Yami Starting at 17th level, the answer is "A monk's fist or foot, unarmed strike" since it is inherently magical. :)
You can only attune to one copy of a magic weapon at a time.
The relevant rule on attunement states:
Additionally, a creature can't attune to more than one copy of an item. For example, a creature can't attune to more than one ring of protection at a time.

Let's say someone true polymorphs your snake familiar into a bandit and concentrates long enough to make it permanent, does the familiar stay a bandit when you dismiss them and resummon?
@Upper_Case probably depends on the subreddit. the bits and bobs of Reddit I've seen are relatively sane, but YMMV. definitely a bit wilder than Stackizenry tho
