9:00 PM
(I looked at my FLGS the other day--they only had the DMG and PHB3 for 4e.)
Is this it, btw?

that's it

What a nice session of CoS this was

Okay. fifteen bucks used. That should do it.
@kviiri ??

@nitsua60 Call of Shoes. Mythos variant of Roll for Shoes.

Few enough new NPCs to actually remember, some really nice RPG moments and a combat where my monk totally showed the bad guys who's the boss.

9:03 PM
@kviiri the bad guys? ('cause it was a monk?)
:D

I'm told I also may want Martial Power, Adventurers Vault, Martial Power 2, PHB3, and six sets of dice.
I think I'll stick with PHB1.

@doppelgreener Totally my monk, Omar the hero!

@nitsua60 I know PDF's are not always ideal, but apparently Drive Thru RPG just has (I think) all the PDFs for 4e

@kviiri nice! :D

@kviiri Without getting too spoilerey, where (roughly) in the story/demiplane are you?

9:04 PM
According to the GM Omar dealt a whopping 80% of the total damage to the main boss of the encounter. Extra attack Kensei with two martial arts attacks (with Ki) work miracles!

@nitsua60 it is way better if you have more books but like,.... if you don't even know you like the system yet I do really still reccomend just grabbing the PHB 1 for now
it is a really ridiculous ask to get you to buy like 6 or so books XD

@nitsua60 This session, we helped out a circus guy. In the grander scheme, we're still looking towards the events foretold in the cards.

@kviiri cool.
@trogdor yes--having looked at nothing I definitely don't know I like the system.
Yet =)

lol

@nitsua60 They're all available on DTRPG, too.

9:08 PM
@nitsua60 This makes me wonder if it's ever possible to really look at just nothing.

I am just acknowledging that not buying more than one book is extremely reasonable until you like the system enough to buy more
and if that last part doesn't happen then it doesn't happen
and you didn't buy several books of regret XD

And I have all the Dragon and Dungeon magazines from that era, and will share with my players.

Friends, long time no speak

Hello!

howdy

9:14 PM
ahoy!
Welcome back :)

[wave] What's new?

@BESW Things that aren't old.

Not much, got a new campaign starting in an hour figured I haven't been on in a while

> HP Spectre. You are haunted by an abstract wounds mechanic. You can ignore all injury aspects unless/until compelled to notice them, but you can't buy off such compels.

@BESW this is great.

9:24 PM
@B.S.Morganstein what system/edition?

@Rubiksmoose dnd 5e

@doppelgreener It practically wrote itself!

@B.S.Morganstein you running it?

There's a Deadpool 2 trailer out. Language warning. So much language that needs warning about.

Eeeeeh.

9:35 PM
@doppelgreener XD

I just can't muster up even the modicum of enthusiasm I had for DP1, not after Joi Harris.

@BESW oh yeah. :(

Should be writing a compiler for the thesis, started working on a bit of a campaign for 7th Sea. The young king of the wartorn nation of Castile is about to embark on what he believes will be a short military expedition to support a minor ally in Vodace. What he doesn't know is that pretty much everyone else in the whole wide world is preparing for a succession war in case he gets killed.

9:53 PM
@BESW yeah,... I am kinda glad I never saw one, just because of that

The two main candidates are the king's Aunt, a conservative noblewoman favored by the Inquisition, the nobility and the fervently Vaticine, but loathed by religious minorities and the more moderate religious, and a distant cousin, a power-hungry prince in Eisen who has adopted a constitutionalist reformer stance but only as a bid to gain power.
So he has the support of those who oppose the Inquisition and a large slice of the common folk. He also has tentative support from Montagne, but the more revolutionary parts of his party are not likely to be happy with the "monarchy" in "constitutional monarchy" once things start looking good for him...
This is the mess I'm going to thrust my players into and see if they manage to stop a world war from erupting in Théah.

10:36 PM
hey there @AcmeCat
