I presume "midlands" refers to "the middle bits" like manchester and sheffield and leeds? Presently I'll be moving into the general vicinity of London.
I was wondering whether there is a LARP implementation of Fate Core or Accelerated anywhere? I did take a look at Fate SRD, but they don't seem to mention that. I am really curious at this point, since simple, RPS-compatible mechanics seem like a good candidate for a non-physical combat resolutio...
Oh. I should add "Diceless", in a medium sense of the word: I would not be against a very simple randomizer, used rarely. I don't want dice or a Deck of Fate.
@BESW Ideally, Fate point economy playing a core role, with Compels at least, Declare Story Detail where acting is not a thing, and if applicable Invokes. Free-form aspects. The high-collaboration ethos. Gold and Silver Rule. The ethos of Making Failure Awesome and Let the Player Do the Work.
But looking at the question I definitely thought “That's not how we did it”, reading the SRD and thinking “Oh that makes sense” and only now I think it was something like “Stress 2 must hit at least the second stress box – and that does implement the same rule”.
@Anaphory Katanas & Trenchcoats. It's got a minimal rock-paper-scissors hack for LARP resolution, where folks who on paper would have highly ranked skills instead get access to additional moves like Horns, Anvil, and Maaaagaic.
like the idea is: if someone pulls off an attack +8 vs your defense +3, you have 5 harm to "absorb". you can use any one stress box (if you want) and any number of consequences (if you want). you can take 1 stress + a medium consequence, or 3 stress + a mild, or a severe.
also, gangs of NPCs can work a bit differently because of a thing called overflow - excess harm hits the next NPC and so forth. if that's something you've got on your mind.

"When did that happen" - this line was removed by moderator - but actually, I feel that this was an interesting, and quite organic part of the question - it forms context and adds l...
I had quite a few ideas for phrases that would fit. Signalling was the main decision point which ones I turned into Aspects (Make this an issue for my character!) or Stunts (I do this!).
