9:02 PM
I used to love it
Now I want to make programs to do it for me

Sometimes it's fun for me, sometimes it's not. It's certainly a relief to have a program to speed it along. I don't play a lot of games in which detailed maps are necessary, though, so it's not a problem I have frequently.

I drew 70 something town maps for on of my campaigns, a few of which were multiple pages

Wow, yeah.

Well, you don't know where they're going to go > >

That is true. :P

9:05 PM
That was ten years ago. I still have them
:D
Some were just a couple of buildings with a road, but they asked for them

Ahh.
The most I usually need is a floorplan for Maid, and then that's not even strictly necessary. It's not like it's a tactical game. xD I find it helps my players to have a sense of where things are, though. IRL it's a really fun thing to do as a group as well.

Ah don't misunderstand me, I got the map in a file. It's just that I don't want to print 29 A4 pages to build it

Oh, haha. Yeah, that's a lot of work as well.

Ew, yeah

People sometimes underestimate the amount of work trimming and gluing paper takes until they've done it in huge amounts. xD

9:11 PM
also, if you're going to make me print it, please consider the eventuality I don't own a printer that can print to the borders of the page.

Ooh, yeah. P:

Send them PDFs
Make them print it
Bwahaha.

Interesting.

Too costy.

9:24 PM
@DuckTapeAl definitely got some thoughts on this, but am on my way to bed now. Will stick something up in the morning.

That logo though.
Aband mTable.

"Abandon my table, you roll-player!"

9:50 PM
@BESW I guess it doen't scan to good

@Pureferret I also have some qualms about the light source.
The left-side text has a light source positioned above the central graphic; that's pretty consistent.
The right-side text? The "m" has a light source coming from the central graphic; the "t" and "a" next to it have light coming from above the central graphic; the light source on the last three letters are... I'm honestly not sure, it's not consistent within any given letter.

The L is like... top right, and the E is top left maybe?
The B is... interesting.

If the L is top right, what's going on with the right side of its vertical line?
Ditto the E and its left side; given the strength of the reflection on its bottom line, the left side of its vertical line should be more illuminated.

I didn't say they were correct or consistent for light sources from that point, that's just the best I can figure. :P I would probably have to screenshot it and draw a diagram to make sense of any of this. At a glance, they all appear to have at least two light sources.

Yup.
That seems... odd, especially since one of them consistently isn't the big glowing logo in the middle.

10:05 PM
That aside, the service could be useful. I wish there were more screenshots or a video of the actual features.

10:17 PM

@Pureferret Thanks!

@Pixie no problem
I've not had a chance to use it yet add no one near me uses it...

I'm not a local meetup sort of person anyway.
Too much risk involved. P:

I'm happy to hear people are just bikeshedding about the logo rather than having criticisms about it...
@Pixie you can use it for online, video, or privately with people you know already

@Pureferret I was thinking it might be useful for online, but the "no one near me" comment threw me off, heh.
I might poke around in it later, but right now I am trying to figure out my next move vs. a collection agency. The joys of being an adult.

10:41 PM
@Pixie yay adult hood
@Pixie I have two or three different games going so I'm only interested in getting them to join up
@BESW you interested?

Wha?
@Pureferret I'm not sure what the topic is.

11:03 PM
@BESW a random table...

To what end? I'm not really in a position to commit to more campaigns than my current IRL Saturdays.

11:45 PM
Huh?
What's the topic?
@Pureferret Is this like facebook for Tabletop gamers?
