There's so much information about optimal age to desex cats, I am wondering how the early desexing of my cats may have affected them. We adopted two kittens at 16 weeks, a brother and sister, from a shelter. They were already desexed.

No, not really Human Computer Interaction. But trying to emulate (or simulate) human behavior in robots (or more specifically virtual robots that don't exist physically, called agents).

From my gut feeling, I guess those topics would be borderline on topic if they have enough ties to human cognition

@Baarn Yes, I would say go ahead and post them on CogSci. If you don't find a lot of luck in terms of answers (as there's not a segment of experts in that area yet), I have posted a few agent-based questions to Computer Science, and you could try there.

It's certainly a topic of interest on the site, but I don't know enough to ask in-depth questions about it.

@Skippy No idea why its still being downvoted, but don't worry about visibility. You can't rely on proximity to the front page, especially for duplicates.

Theoretically, everyone should be searching before asking. Plus there's the sidebar "possibly related questions" list that appears on the right when asking a new question.

@JamesJenkins The upvoted comment sums it up, imo. It's not that there is room for more detail, but rather that there's no real detail, reasoning, or external support for the claim.

Especially in private beta, we want to encourage comprehensive answers, and discourage really short unreferenced answers

As your answer stands, I don't know if that's based upon research you've done, but which you didn't have time to include, or if its based off of your extensive experience with dogs, or if its just a guess.
