Makes sens
ysthakur enqueued pull request #1647 (Make toString on non-integer VNum not just a stringified float) in Vyxal/Vyxal
so it waits until it has enough for a block or until 5 minutes have passed
ah
the block size and time limit is customisable
00:01
5 minutes seems like a good choice
jk turns out it's 4 minutes
I forgor I made it 1 less minute lol
can't remember whether the 5 was the default block size or wait time

@Shaggy you don't need to sort something to see if it's sorted. You can just check that each overlapping pair is is order. — lyxal 19 secs ago
Now sure, internally it's implemented by comparing to a sorted list, but only because it was convenient to write it like that
It could very well be implemented like I described
And some of the is-ordered digraphs do implement that method
It'd need a non-vectorising version of <= to do so
!!/open issue non vectorising le and ge Because there's already non vectorising lt and gt
Sorry lyxal, I'm afraid I can't do that.
I uh
Huh

Thank you
And yes, that may or may not be a ploy to sneak changes to the is sorted built in quietly

well that just happened
13:10
hey so what words do we want added to the sss dictionary that are code-golf specific
for reference, I've pushed the raw word list + the sorting script I used
(not to automate it, because after this PR, the dictionaries won't be touched)
@VyxalBot 😎
!!/is the bot a bot?
Sorry lyxal, I'm afraid I can't do that.
How will I know?
@VyxalBot lmao
13:20
huh, native tests failed because it ran out of memory while compiling
fun
@lyxal same!
I had to do some weird linux hax to fix it
@lyxal yup
interesting
you have to run sbt -mem 2048
or any large number, really
13:23
that'll have to be changed in the workflow file

@lyxal Seems like it happened after words.txt was added to resources. Doesn't really make sense but maybe it's trying to compress it or something. Any way to avoid putting that file in resources?
Can we put both sort_script.py and words.txt in a different folder entirely? resources is mainly meant for stuff that needs to be accessed at runtime
17:10
I need to get all subsets with exact length. Is there way better, than filter powerset by length?
@user you have actual Vyxal knowledge, answer this poor person's question q:

Bruh i don’t know a better way to dlnit in vyxal
I know scala has a combinations method to do exactly what lesobrod wants but idk if vyxal has it
@lesobrod if it turns out that vyxal doesn’t already have such a builtin, feel free to make an issue requesting it because it’s quite useful. Definitely worth a difraph
18:46
... combinations? d-overdot?
19:33
@emanresuA Yes, great! I think that combinations means tuples, but it's exactly subsets of given length.
20:09
agreed, combinations isn't a great name
Is combinations of ... a widely-used synonym for subsets?

1 hour later…
21:22
my bad, combinations in scala gives you subsequences, not subsets
subsequences that arent necessarily contiguous
21:36
subsequences == subsets?
(just ordered)
@user it'll straight up be deleted before merging
I only put them there temporarily for mucking around with the word lists

@Ginger oh yeah when you give it an invalid command it just keeps spinning
Errors on stderr aren't reported to the site yet
._.
They show up in the console, but not the output box
Because they're thrown from scala js and the worker file doesn't do error handling yet
22:47
@emanresuA only if the list already has only unique elements
Ahh okay
23:19
@lyxal Ah ok
@Ginger Which command was it? Perhaps it can be fixed
