I want to ask about a particular detail in Jason Bourne's backstory which has attention called to it in books 1 and 2 but is completely reversed in book 3 (at least that's how it seems to me, I'd be fine with a frame challenge). Would the following pair of questions be closely related enough to fit in a single Lit Q?
> I suppose this question is really in two parts:
1. Why bother throwing in the detail that the plane's side was unknown for both of the first two books? It seems to just serve to make the backstory more complicated. Yet is is given emphasis in the text.
2. Why stop with the uncertain explanation in the third book? This was an established piece of backstory information, why change it now?
Before this I of course provide book quotes/motivation and there are more clarifications, but those two questions are what I want to ask.
