@b_jonas There's currently 9 ongoing elections (MO, PPCG, Engineering, Hardware Recommendations, Bioinformatics, Bioacoustics, Cardano, Politics, Open Data). That's not too unusual: there's usually elections on a bunch of different sites, except during SE staff holiday periods like Christmas and New Year. Maybe you're just noticing now because some of them are sites that you're familiar with.

In Language Learning SE, I asked to postpone the election until after the summer break (instead of organising it in July). Don't know if other mods also did that for their sites.
