I want to close https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/356665/i-want-to-use-my-minecraft-java-texture-pack-on-windows-10-is-this-possible
as a duplicate of https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/354010/how-to-convert-bedrock-texture-pack-to-java-edition-minecraft
, but I can't, because "This question does not have an upvoted or accepted answer". Can a mod do it?
In general, I don't understand why that is a criterion. Just because the question wasn't answered doesn't mean that there should be multiple identical questions left open.

Or can alternatively someone upvote this test post by me, please? https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/363202/171580
I want to see whether it's possible to post something random as an answer to the original question, get someone to upvote it once, close the other question as duplicate, then delete the dummy answer. That's of course not at all how this was intended, but SE hasn't really listened to the community requesting to rollback the change of needing an upvoted answer for duplicate closing for over 6 years, so this is the best workaround I could come up with, it leaves no permanent trace
It does indeed work. That's kind of ridiculous. I guess I need to ask someone to upvote random garbage for every time that I want to clean up duplicates of unanswered questions.

Can someone please close gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/343806/… as duplicate of gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/65828/… ? Apparently I already voted to close it before I got the golden tag badge, but it still hasn't been closed, so currently I would have the authority to close it alone, but I can neither close it, nor vote to close, nor undo the close vote.

The question was closed (using your vote), then reopened, then closed again, which is why you can't close-vote it.

And then it was reopened another time?!?
(It's currently not closed, that's what I mean.)

sorry, it was only closed twice, I misread
I unsuccessfully flagged it for closure a second time

Alright, I have now reduced the number of open questions that use both and from 39 to 11 and the number of open questions that use both and from 16 to 8 (with 1 more to close by someone else). Now to all those server questions using wrong tags…

In theory this should no longer return and results, but probably thanks to caching, it still does: [minecraft-server] closed:no [minecraft-bedrock-edition]
I changed [tag:minecraft-server] (to be renamed to [tag:minecraft-java-edition-server]) to [tag:minecraft-bedrock-edition-server] on all questions that also used [tag:minecraft-bedrock-edition] and no other tags pretty much without another look, and properly read most of the question texts from those that also had additional tags. I think that should be enough to have it be tagged correctly.

That search is coming up empty for me

Now for me as well.
Can someone please go through these 6 questions? https://gaming.stackexchange.com/search?q=%5Bminecraft-server%5D+closed%3Ano+%5Bminecraft-legacy-console%5D
I thought servers didn't exist at all for legacy console, but at least one person seems to be pretty convinced that they already have a server for it running.
Oh wow, is still the second tag in the list of "related tags" for . Hopefully that changes over time.

Alright, all without checked as well, tons of edited tags, quite a few "close as unclear". That's it for me and , I won't look at all of the 700+ questions.
These cleanups surely don't pay out in reputation. I don't get any points for retagging and all that, but I lose a bunch from encountering a ton of bad questions and downvoting them. :D I downvoted 20 posts today and voted to close (or directly closed) 21 times.
I actually did not have to use the "let someone upvote a temporary answer" trick anymore after the first time.

Remaining tasks:
· retagging some questions to : I don't have any experience with either of these games, so I shouldn't be the one to do it.
· synonym creation , , , , , , , and for : @Unionhawk, you offered to do this, but didn't yet. It would be possible to do for me, but only with two dummy questions that I delete afterwards, that's not how it should be done
…ideally.
· tag wiki edit of to include what broad range of activities and communities exist and maybe some more details. I don't really know a good way to word this, but might try again later.
· checking all tag wikis for whether changes are needed after the entire process is done: That will be one of the last actions.
· tag rename : A moderator has to do this (technically not needed, but causes some huge inconveniences for many people otherwise)
· checking the deleted tag wikis of and for valuable information to be integrated into the tag wiki of : A moderator has to do this.
(How annoying that formatting only works on single-line messages and single-line messages have a much shorter message length limit.)

I attempted to do the (what is now called) retag at the beginning of the year (as I pointed out in the comments to the old question), but there may still have been a few questions I missed

Can you check these 6, please? gaming.stackexchange.com/…

I think those will end up needing their own (is that too long?), since they all appear to be legitimate questions about servers on legacy console edition.

Do servers exist for that?

I honestly don't know, and the answers to some of those questions seem to contradict eachother about it
