@Unionhawk Yeah, the feedback to this has been really positive. Plus, these discussions have been going on for longer than the most recent meta you made, @FabianRöling. If your great tag cleanup meta was the first time any of this was discussed I'd agree with you things are moving too fast, but it's not. It's been going on for a while.

Now that I look at it again, I'm questioning minecraft-bigdig. There are only three questions, all asked by the same person within 3 days in 2013, only one of them got a single upvote, one was even closed and nobody watches this tag. I guess I'll delete that one as well and retag the questions to minecraft-tekkit, since it's apparently just a variation of that modpack. There is no tag wiki, so nothing to preserve I'll create an archive anyway, just in case.

Saying that Minecraft Java edition is only available on PC is not quite correct. In theory it runs almost everywhere where you can run Java programs. For example an app called "Boardwalk" used to let you easily run it on Android. And I'm sure some people could make it even run on a fridge.

Maybe minecraft-ios, minecraft-android, minecraft-xbox-one, minecraft-nintendo-switch, minecraft-playstation-4, minecraft-gear-vr and minecraft-fire-os should also exist, but this was not discussed with the community yet.

We do have minecraft-ps3 and minecraft-xbox-360 for legacy-console

(ps3 already existing, xbox-360 renamed from xbox)
