@Scimonster I think a comment by Alex was incorporated
@Scimonster I think I made an effort to make them all hyperlinks, for the PDF-reading public, when I first did this, and maybe either missed some or gave up on that.
@Scimonster You're probably right, and also "Please don't ... and if you do ..." doesn't work. I'm cutting the line.
@Scimonster Nope. Swept and fixed all instances.

4:56 AM
@Scimonster How about some nekudot, too? Sefaria's super dooper well-formatted Hagada with commentaries to the rescue! sefaria.org/…
@Scimonster Good catch. It's a shame. The previous name was cooler and not a lie.
@Scimonster I really like it here. When we eat matza for Tzafun, we should give a thought to the fact that that's not what we're supposed to be doing.
Good morning

5:12 AM
@IsaacMoses hi

6:06 AM
H-MY_5776 v0.2: PDF / WORD
- Incorporated proofreading notes by @Scimonster and @MonicaCellio (Thanks!)
- Added the Mi Yodeya countup question
- Cut the Intro down to one page
- Added "Second Edition" to the cover. (I feel like a grown-up publisher man, seeing that.)
- Added plugs for other pubs on the last page.
- Removed page breaks from before H1s
This is in an essentially publishable state, pending proofreading by @TRiG and review by all of the latest substantial changes.
@TRiG, here are the sections that deserve new attention:
- Intro, p. 2
- Karpas, p. 11
- Yachatz, p. 11 - 12
- The Four Questions (both entries), p. 12 - 15
- Rabban Gamliel, p. 29 - 30
- Maror, p. 32
- Shulchan Oreich, p. 34
- Why is it ok to pay the kids for the afikoman?, p. 35 - 36
- Chad Gadya, p. 43
- 2 Zuz, p. 43 - 44
- Why does Echad Mi Yodeya stop at 13?, p. 45 - 46
Thanks very much in advance!
In case anyone's wondering, I took out the decorative divider from the bottom of a question when there was an H1 following on the same page. I think the divider is a nice signifier of closure but looks redundant right above the box around an H1 on the same page.
^^^ Look at this! Learning, whimsy, crowdsourcing, source-sourcing. I love this page. I think it's a great thing to close with.
(I love the rest of the book, too.)
Oh, yeah. I had to give a suffix to the name of the Ariel on that page, since his username is identical with u#758, also in this book. If you have a better idea than "Ariel76," please let me know.
Good night!
Darn it. I broke "elokeinu" in one of the footnotes there. Will be fixed in the next version.

6:33 AM
@IsaacMoses Maybe differentiate them in the credits instead.
@IsaacMoses I agree.

@Scimonster How? By explicitly referring to the pages?

@IsaacMoses Ariel who provided an answer to Echad Mi Yodeya, and Ariel who provided whatever other answer.

@Scimonster Footnotes on the Credits?

@IsaacMoses However you think is best. I was thinking maybe parentheses.
I didn't even realize that "real Q&A that spring from the seder" was a pun until my brother just pointed it out.

@Scimonster That'd get messy in that 2-column table

6:38 AM
p23 “Moshe cried out” - really? uses a hyphen instead of dash.

@Scimonster Happy Aviv to him!

I'm not proofreading now, just looking it over. :P
Also at the top of p36, both in the question title and above in the paragraph.
The box at the end with the other publications is missing its bottom.

@Scimonster Not in the PDF, as viewed on my screen

7:20 AM
@TRiG We'd like to publish Sunday or Monday at the latest, so the sooner the better. Today or tomorrow would be best.

8 hours later…
3:19 PM
@IsaacMoses nice! Any chance we can just have a numbered list (starting with 14) instead of the bullets?
@IsaacMoses taking a hint from academic (etc) journals that sometimes run into citation conflicts, how about just naming them "Ariel (1)" and "Ariel (2)"?
I used the parens , rather than e.g. "Ariel 1", to more strongly hint that the number isn't part of the user-chosen name.

4:05 PM
@MonicaCellio that makes a great deal of sense. Sure.
@MonicaCellio I did it (implemented but not yet shared) with two footnotes, referencing page numbers, on the Credits page. It's only one location for each, so this is easy to maintain and read. It's unconventional, but I think for our purpose, it gets the info acroaa with the least distraction

@IsaacMoses sounds good. Just to confirm, this means the names show up as just "Ariel", and on the credits page where there are two Ariels they're footnoted?

4:25 PM
@MonicaCellio yes

@IsaacMoses thanks. Sounds good to me.

2 hours later…
6:39 PM
Suggestion for the next time we redo it (5th anniversary? :]) -- Q&A related to Pesach generally, not just the seder.

@Scimonster we can have sections for that in the rolling growth project
Back of my head target for getting a hardcover Hagada published: 10th anniversary of MY - four Kislevs from now
But maybe it won't take that long :)

6:55 PM
Book launch in Israel. All authors and editors to be flown there by the publisher (except you; you get a bus pass)

@IsaacMoses I have no idea how serious you are, but 4 years from now i will be בע"ה still serving in the IDF and who knows if i'd have any time for this.

@Scimonster I'll talk to your mefaked and get you leave

7:27 PM
@Scimonster service in the IDF obviously takes priority, but even if you have to reduce your participation here for those couple years (or is it three?), we'll still be here when you're done. Unless moshiach has come, in which case all predictions are in question.

2 hours later…
9:23 PM
@MonicaCellio 2 years 8 months for standard service, though some units demand a full three years, and some even 5.

10:00 PM
@Scimonster no Hesder for you?
