@Mitch well, the characters can encode a LOT of meaning more densely. But it's like learning a secondary language as an accessory to your main language, so that you can write in a sort of code.
Like, imagine the horror. You are speaking a proper language, even without articles and all that shit, really fine language bruh. But then you have to write it down and you suddenly find out it's frigging Chinese.
And now that I listen to myself every day to cut stream highlights, it's not anywhere as slight as everyone's been telling me. I honestly don't understand a word of what I'm saying.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention this so you can get a horrible case of cognitive dissonance between how I've been talking all this time in chat and how I actually talk in like actually.
Yes, that's one thing, and it's true to an extent, but the other thing I'm expressing my amazement at right now is the "but it plays so perfectly in everyone else's heads".
@MattE.Эллен Well then. I'd post a direct link for your amusement, but so far I've only cut videos where I was speaking German, so I'd have to manually search the stream recordings for the bits in English, and I'll do that some other time as now I have to run.
no prep/sterilization, no planning just sit down, don't blink and you're off
And the doctors watching this were aghast, and started to explain to him how terrible his tools were and all about the microscopic anatomy and how close to blinding these people he was.
@MattE.Эллен but yes. a new lens. I don't see how cataract removal is even a thing. Why don't you just drill holes in your skull to stop bad thoughts? Why don't you take smaller and smaller concentrations of a bad thing to elicit a stronger and stronger response against them? Because it's effing crazy sticking a scalpel in your eye, that's why.
particle physicists looked over the doctor's shoulder during the operation and we aghast and surprised how they didn't make mistakes with such inaccurate equipment
same with angular. You can't just add one thing in one place to change one thing. It has to be three things in three different places to get three things. No less.
I feel like it shouldn't make a difference because our heads aren't very beam-interactive, like a lead plate would be (uses 100 year old science imagery to explain Star Trek tech)
I knew of a guy (ong ago on campus) who had a similar 'experience' but with x-rays or something, and ever after walked around campus with a huge brimmed hat and gloves because he was afraid of sunlight exacerbating things. I think that was just being eccentric though.
@Shafizadeh If you mean that there is a redundant word, then no quotes. If you mean that there is a redundant word, and the word is literally "word", then it's fine.
I had an answer to a question that explained why I think we do this but the question was eventually deleted.
Given that there was an unaccept, and that moderators allegedly don't have the ability to unaccept, I do so believe it was because the questioner deleted it. Speaking of which, I spent quite a bit of time preparing that answer. It's the only one of mine that is deleted from the website. Would it be out of line to ask one of you guys to retrieve and email it back to me?
