@syb0rg The memory must be left mapped, otherwise the caller won't be able to read the file! When they are done with the memory, they can call munmap. I didn't go into detail about that (the OP can read the mmap documentation if they need to know how to remove the mapping).

@skiwi Ctrl + . in IntelliJ. Totally awesome!

@SimonAndréForsberg Something tells me it doesn't zoom?

@SimonAndréForsberg What does it do? Doesn't seem to be available on PyCharm
Oh right, I'm using NetBeans settings in IntelliJ

^^ toggling that is what Ctrl + . does

Ah, okay
This is annoying... we have two identical DLSR's, yet one seems to have one specific option and the other doesn't
To be more specific: One has the dots as shown in (AI Servo AF Mode) learn.usa.canon.com/app/media/images/articles/eos_7d_af/… permanently visible in the viewer, and the other not

You have code that works. You don't have a problem to solve. You're just asking for opinions on its quality. This is off-topic for Stackoverflow. It might be better suited to code reviewQuentin 33 secs ago

Q: Creating error messages for grammar mistakes - avoiding duplication

PimgdAfter my Dialogue parser has parsed a dialogue, it needs to be validated. To that end, I have several checker classes that go through the lines of the Dialogue. These Checker classes get huge as I add more and more features to them. Eventually they get intertwined with checks that they're not re...

Writing documentation :)

@Phrancis On a Sunday?

Oh yeah. I love writing documentation.

I was working on localization for RD.
Lol, I know how much you complain about it.

I actually don't mind it too much, I'm better at it than at coding TBH

11:06 PM
I think I'm pretty good at it (check my Learn OneNote app!), but I prefer coding.
And keep practicing coding, it gets easier after a while because things build on themselves more.
Until you get to the point where you need to learn the next level, that is ;)
I just learned about DI and Unity this spring, for example...

I'm slowly starting to learn about libGDX which is for graphics and such
Need to finish the documentation and stuff for our next release though

So, you work for a warranty under-writer?
What do you do there?

@rolfl That's my job!

@SimonAndréForsberg Mind if I share your stats ....?

11:20 PM
@rolfl go ahead :) (I didn't even know there was stats for that)

There is a mod-page listing users with the most flagged posts....

@Hosch250 @Phrancis Is writing documentation for Cardshifter :)

your name is on top, with 21 flags on your posts.
the next is a mere 15 flags.

does it separate the flags into different categories?
I mean... it's not like I have 21 x Off-topic flags, eh?

@CaptainObvious I'm not 100% sure, but is this question off-topic for broken code?

11:22 PM
@SirPython I believe so.

I think the title speaks for itself.

@SimonAndréForsberg I can go through it, yes.....

@SirPython not entirely sure about it. it sounds like his current code works, but he hasn't been able to refactor it
@rolfl so all of them are excessively long?

I'd rather have excessively long, detailed reviews than 200-style reviews with 1-2 sentences.

There are 8 posts flagged. 7 of them are excessively long. the 8th was someone being a prat and flagging one of your answers as spam.

11:25 PM
Were my posts ever flagged?

Most of the excessively long posts have other flags as well, adding up to the 21.
mostly things like obsolete comments, etc.

I've flagged some of those on various site regulars.
It isn't their fault they are obsolete.

@rolfl ah, that explains a lot... didn't think those would be included there.
@rolfl Can you share with me what answer got flagged as spam?

No, it's not their fault.... actually, I am seeing some flags that make no sense.... hmmm.... flags that point to nothing. A bug?
@SimonAndréForsberg No, it will likely make you try to guess who the flagger was... ;-)

deleted posts?

11:28 PM
I've flagged things, like comments, that are removed by the poster.
Like, we are helping someone, the comments go obsolete, I remove mine and flag, they remove theirs (maybe flag).

considering how many obsolete comments I have flagged, it is a bit surprising that I myself have the most flagged posts

I have 96 helpful.

I am one of the few who has the golden helpful-flag badge
more than 500 helpful flags

I'm going for the 500 flags for the badge.
Slow, though.
I need to modify @rolfl's script to check for more.

11:30 PM
@SimonAndréForsberg No, I have an issue here... the flags on your posts are not on the comments.

@Hosch250 I used SEDE a lot to look for comments that said 'edited' or 'thanks' and similar.
I talked with someone in @Duga's playground a while ago that had a tool for finding such comments

There's something I don't understand.... for example, this post has 7 flags. i assumed they were comment flags, but they are not (and there were never any comments on the post): codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/45088/…

@rolfl Low Quality? :)

1 excessivly long, the rest are "disputed" by a number of different people......
@SimonAndréForsberg NO, because that post never hit review queues... there's no review history.

I think @rolfl is really just pimping his answer ;)

11:32 PM
#pimpMyAnswer

I was one of the people who disputed a flag, but it's from before I was a mod.

@rolfl excessively long, super long, ultra long, mega long, very very long, extremely long and incredibly long?
3

I thought maybe there could be something to do with edits, but it's not been edited enough times.

What are the details on the flags?
Or, is that secret?

And you can't see what the flags were?

11:34 PM
I mean, reasons.
Not users.

@SimonAndréForsberg No, I cannot, and that's normal with comment flags (which is why I suspected them).
comment flags are horrible.

I know a mod (or former mod, anyway) on PPCG is an employee, want me to send him here?
Chris Jester-Young.
I don't know if he is still a mod.

@Hosch250 I don't think he would be able to help with this...
as he's not a CR mod

He is an employee.

oh...
well, I think @rolfl already tends to talk a bit with the employees

11:37 PM
OK, just trying to help.

Yeah, I will run it past the SE folk, I think what's happened is that, based on the timeline and clear-times of the flags, it would seem that:
At post-time, the post was autoflagged as excessively long.
then, each upvote after that is recorded as a flag in the system for some reason.... with the flag-type of "Invalid Flag" or something....
each upvote "disputes" the "excessively long" flag....
then, when Jamal cleared the actual flag, all the flags were "handled".
all the flags closed at the exact instant that jamal handled the excessively long flag.
This is the first time I have seen anything like this.
excessively long flags are not normal.....

...for normal people

I am voting to re-open as I do believe this question is on-topic for Code Review. I am however afraid that I have to down-vote the question because of the problem-focused aspects of it (you could perhaps have taken one of your non-working attempts to fix it and asked on Stack Overflow?), and for a quite bad title. — Simon André Forsberg 15 secs ago

Well, I have a question out there for the staff to answer.... time for me to be educated ;-)
