@user1306322 imgur compresses every jpeg you upload. All of them. They used to only compress the ones above 1MB (which is what their FAQ still claims)

Lossy compression is only used when the image is above a certain file size (10MB for pro, 2MB for standard, 1MB for anonymous).

Flickr was the other option I was strongly considering. It does allow hotlinks, but you technically have to link back to the original post as well or else it violates their ToS.

But they've got like 1TB space IIRC and accept images up to 200 MB or something like that.

Which is pretty good.

I think the hotlink protection basically caches a junk image for you if you view it anywhere other than where it expects
