Are questions which say 'I'm using TeX Live 2015 and it doesn't work' off topic? IMHO, they should be. Breaking is expected behaviour for pretest. (Of course, no specific way of breaking is expected. But that's expected, also.)

Concentrating on the direct use of emdash as control of --- is a bit harder.

@Johannes_B: The intersection is between 0 and 2, so I thought this should be possible without other libraries, no need to calculate. If I remove the plots with paths C and D it works again. I am missing some important stuff but i don't know which
@Johannes_B I guess I must be out of date. But David himself once said that he answered TikZ questions with picture mode. Apparently that was not entirely accurate.
@daleif: I must confess I'm more of a KOMA user, but memoir is awesome! I finished a songbook project powered by memoir for our community and the result is quite nice! :) Thank you!

Does anyone know what  and  is suppose to be converted into? Someone submitted them as a part of an application. From the context (two point patterns) I'm guessing it is (unicode) math, but I have no idea where to look for these. Anyone knowns? For example @DavidCarlisle or @JosephWright
@daleif not really, you cut some random text in some random encoding from word into a browser and the browser has to make some more or less reasonable guess of a unicode encoding to encode it....
@DavidCarlisle that seems likely. Some guy from Japan submitted 　 instead of a space in his name. I'm going to give up attempting to fix those entities.
@FaheemMitha Not at all, it's the authentication method. :) For example, I have an StackExchange login, so for every site I want to be member, I sign up and use the very same auth method. :)
I have PDF graphic in which I would like to have fonts removed. All other properties of the file should remain (such as size, etc). The output file should be in PDF as well. The text itself should be converted to outlines.
Can I do it at the moment of including the PDF figure in pdftex document?...

(note pdftops not pdf2ps) and then use ghostscript to convert back to pdf with a command something like:

@yo' if you need it for just one PDF, I own Illustrator—I could outline the fonts for you. I didn't read the full discussion above, but it looked like the command-line ways were not fully working for you?
I have an iPod shuffle which can only hold 2GB of songs. I was wondering if I should reduce the bit rate of my MP3's to 64k or lower and add as much songs as it can hold. Does this sound like a good plan?
