I have been using minecraft forge on version 1.7.10 for a long time and recently decided to upgrade to minecraft 1.9(.2 to be more specific) and also installed the latest forge version. However I am now getting an error like (i am copying the whole text of the error).
---- Minecraft Crash Report...
so two or more of the following are involved in some sort of edit war in Discord re: the way voice channels should be organized. Please sort it out in a way that does not involve wild buttumptions
5
because wild buttumptions are not cool and I am getting tired of this shit
by the way, if no one comes up with their strong feelings about how voice channels should be organised I will enforce my arbitrium, then revoke our own right to manage voice channels so that only @GodEmperorDune can mess with them
it will be sad, and stupid, and sad, but also over
@badp Can you be more clear what the issue is? I rename a chat when we start using it to the name of the specific game so folks know what people are currently playing there. Is that an issue?
@KevinvanderVelden I was wondering that as well. I used to just make a new chat for whatever game folk were playing, but then they kept getting deleted.
Personally I think renaming chat rooms to "Game Name #" when we are all there playing it, and renaming it to just "Chat #" when we're not is helpful. Especially if we split up into multiple channels (which has happened for overwatch).
Right now we're all pretty much on Overwtach, but folks have used it for rocket league as well, and once the overwtch hype dies I'm sure we'll sure more of a mixture of games there, so knowing what game is going on in each channel is handy.
@badp An issue for you, sure, but is it an issue for everyone else? I understand you're frustrated and I get why, but is it just you not liking how it's going now or the everyone?
Not to say you're wrong to bring it up, but I don't know, I don't think it's really an "edit war".
We've had more than 6 (the max party size) on Overwatch on a few occasions, and we've had different groups playing different games on some occasions as well. Having more than 1 "in-game party chat" makes sense.
Winston's LBM weapon, the "Tesla Cannon", has a greater range than melee and can hit multiple enemies at once. However, if I'm fighting just one enemy and I manage to get within melee range of them, is it better to use melee attacks, or is the cannon still preferable?
I'm asking because although...
Another option that you might want to consider is to just give up on persistent channels. You need one, you create one, and when you're done, you delete it
which means reopening everything
but I don't care about that, I care that we agree on SOMETHING
@badp Is it possible to give users the ability to edit channels, but not create them? I'd check myself but I don't believe I can access Discord in the office.
@Nzall if we don't know who is doing what we simply risk putting the same people at the same privilege level, and the revert wars continue
so what is important is that those who have been using their discord mod powers simply say so. You have powers because you are expected to use them, there's no shame in that.
because right now chat 1, chat 2, and Overwatch #1 is all we'd probably need. IF we get enough folks for OW2 someone can just pop into a generic channel, and just rename it for their play session.
@badp yeah, I've been changing them to "Overwtch #1". And a couple times we had folks going into second channel I renamed it to OW # 2 so folks knew what games people were playing in each. tbh I just figured the process we had was "rename to game, rename to generic when done"
@badp I guess what I'm saying is that I think we already formed a process, although it's not official. We've been renaming it to the game when we hop in, and renaming it again when we hop out (or if someone sees it empty)
I don't know if this is a feature on Discord yet but on Mumble you could create a channel where anyone could create subchannels and name them what they wanted but they would be automatically deleted when they were empty
because I feel like when I am using my moderators abilities to manage a shared resource in a way that is not obviously accountable, I feel the need to inform people
I dor ecall seeing you post that picture before, @Badp, but I wasn't the one who changed it back. The times I've been in Discord I've onyl ever seen Chat #1 - chat#3, or game specific channels
@ardaozkal yes, I read that, but only mods can do that
If we want an official policy, then I think it would be two generic channels, and mods can create new game specific channels when they feel it's necessary.
Right now I think two generic channels and either one or two overwatch specific channels would be good.
I am currently working on my new server and I want to link 2(or more) servers together. So I can have different gamemode on different servers. I would run 2(or more) server console at the same time so that player can join another server with executing a command. And for some reason, Multiverse an...
Some Enterprise Toshiba models have an onboard gsensor that locks the hard drive (on onboard hdd and with all drivers, it doesn't affect anything, but it might cause unexpected issues on ssd). Other laptops might have it too.
Basically I just think the PS4.5/Xbone1.5 thing is going to end up like the DSi/New 3DS (in terms of hardware) where it might have a few neat features but ultimately they're not really utilized well
To my knowledge, there is only 1 New 3DS exclusive game to date
@twobugs it's one thing when the games are exclusive, it's another when they work on both systems, but one system has superior performance and the other can barely get by
I have not played Hyrule Warriors on a 3DS, but from what I have read and seen on youtube, it was clearly designed for n3DS and it probably should've just been an exclusive
I'm listening to my coworker bitch that it's loud and drunk people are outside his apartment thurs-sat nights in his downtown apartment which is next to our sports stadium and all our clubs and bars.
I'm keeping my piece, but if you don't want to deal with drunk people in the middle of the night, don't live in a downtown apartment right next to all those places.
It's a pretty fair tradeoff because hey - this is a warriors game, if people weren't appearing from nowhere and looking stupid I might think I was playing something different
But the enemy models are very low quality
I almost never had significant slowdown in the Wii U version
@twobugs I don't think I had any significant slowdowns in single player either (I could see it drop below 30 fps, but nothing major), but it did drop below 20 fps a lot in co-op
and the enemy count was significantly reduced as well
I'm playing Overwatch and I want to gain a better knowledge of the maps. I would like to explore the maps outside of a match, but can't find a game mode/tutorial, etc. that allows me to be in the map alone. Can anyone offer any advice?
Some youtubers have map tutorials where they freely fly aro...
Hanzo is an interesting character in Overwatch. He's a sniper, but he fills a different niche from the more traditional sniper. To compliment his bow-driven gameplay, one of his abilities is Scatter Arrow - an arrow that explodes on impact to a bunch of smaller arrows. This is a powerful ability,...
