Can you fool a GB into think there's a slave on the other (nonexistent) end? You could do it with a paperclip or a hacked link cable. If it uses handshake data, which will stomp the paperclip/loopback cable, what is the data structure? If it's different game to game, post Pokemon handshake struct...

Just to double-check, I Googled, "Microwave an xbox 360 controller". Results: A site dedicated to microwaving stuff. And the microwave doesn't survive the process of mircowaving a 360.
