@AshleyNunn Either NWN or NWN2. If you play NWN, completely ignore/skip the main campaign. Play Shadows of Undrentide, followed by Hordes of the Underdark. (Though you may want to play through the tutorial section of said main campaign just to get the feel of it.)

The two expansions are the good stuff.

Alternately, NWN2 has really good writing, though a bit less humor, and better voice acting and, (IMO) gameplay. But it does require a bit more thought than NWN1, which is pretty linear and mindless fun.

'unfortunately', MotB continues directly on from the main storyline of NWN2, which while not bad (it's quite good actually) isn't anywhere near up to the standard of MotB. So you've gotta play through the pretty decent to get to the incredible, and said 'pretty decent' has one of the worst opening ~5-10 hours ever in terms of pacing.
