@kalina There is some considerable room for interpretation in the gray areas on when to decline flags and when not. A few declined flags also don't really matter that much. But if you disagree with the action a mod has taken, or didn't take, you can make a meta post. But I would focus more on what you want the mods to do, than on the declined flag

as part of the clean up process, I began editing questions, which I'm both fairly confident and competent in doing

this included closed questions, which I was later asked to flag for deletion instead of editing

so I started flagging them

then I got told not to flag them, but create a list and submit it for deletion

which is more awkward

then I got told to tell the mods which tag I was working on so they could vet it for closed questions and delete them

which I can't do, due to my random nature

so my counter argument is

they HAVE a list of tags I'm working on, because they created the list

and if they were going to go through them and delete closed questions, they would have done it already

I suspect that the problem is the volume of flags/edits. In general you're right that flagging a post that should be deleted is an appropriate use of flags

@MadScientist Yeah, the thing with the suggested edit queue is that sometimes if you make a bunch of edit and someone approves them all at once it looks like you made half a dozen edits in less than 5 minutes

Which is funny, because it makes you look like a superhuman editor
