So Netflix US has tons more TV shows than Netflix Canada. Movie selection is fairly similar - the extra movies the US has appear to be low budget crap.

@badp That's ridiculous. That's what editing is for. The question is not off-topic. We need to have some consistency in how we deal with these things, and your removing it before it's been adequately discussed (4 to 1 isn't really that big of a gap here) is unnecessary.
@Fluttershy It's been discussed for 12 hours. No amount of editing will remove 6 downvotes from that question. Origami makes an excellent point. The answers on that question suck. All in all there's very little to salvage from that page, and it's very much beyond the point of being saved through editing.

@SevenSidedDie Exactly. Optimally the right tools should be used in the first place, but just because a closable question is closed under the wrong reason doesn't mean it needs to be re-opened. It just makes it harder for it to be closed for the right reason. All closed questions (aside from duplicates) should end up being deleted eventually. @OrigamiRobot That is a very good point. I also realized I misinterpreted the comments on the question. What I'm taking issue with is how quickly @badp took it upon himself to act before anything was adequately resolved.
In fact, isn't this exactly what a lot of people were asking moderators to do a while ago? To take special steps in the cases of really crappy questions and answers?

only 10k+ users can cast delete votes, and only on closed questions. As @OrigamiRobot already said, that question should never have been closed, but it should have been deleted.
This is exactly the type of situation that moderators exist for. Sure, maybe @badp acted too quickly, but I think the end result would be the same. Besides, mods make mistakes, they're only human.
@Wipqozn That's why close worthy questions shouldn't be re-opened just because the were closed for the wrong reason. It makes it that much harder for non-mods to keep the site clean.
@JasonBerkan I'm not referring to closing, just deleting. Also, there is nothing wrong with a mod casting a super vote in cases where it's obviously warranted. If someone asks a game recommendation, there is no reason for a mod to abstain from casting a super close. Said mod is more than welcome to super close it.
